Been a few matches now we have started not so good and Collins has made early subs and turned the game around. Does that mean he can read the game better than TM who often left it far too late for subs? But why is JC getting things wrong from the start so much? And will he ever be able to curb the inconsistency of players?

No, it means his starting line up lacks punch Davy. One striker against a flat back four of reasonable defenders isnae gonnae work.

IMO he started with the wrong team today, and played the wrong formation.

No way should a young laddie like Lewis Stevenson get a starting place ahead of Dean Shiels on the left, he looked out of his depth from the start. Fletcher cannot play the lone striker role. He is simply not strong enough,and his first touch is poor. When Killen is unavailable they should really go with a 4-4-2 formation.

Motherwell clearly set out to push the Hibs forward supporting players Sproule and Stevenson as far back as possible, and so leave Fletcher isolated and starved of proper support. Collins had to change things at half-time. I wish he would just go to 4-4-2 when Killen is out. We have no-one who can perform his role in the team adequatley.

A slight improvement in the second half when he made the double substitution, but today was our worst home performance of the season IMO. However we won, and that was all that mattered today.
