Blackbeard is on the way to a first team debut
Mini-Walter

McLeish is quoted as saying
"I haven´t been offered anything other than an interview but it would be very hard to say no to the job of Scotland manager," McLeish told the Daily Express. "It´s a very tough task facing whoever gets the job but I have always felt it´s better to face up to a challenge rather than walk away from it wondering ´what if?´."

A few days ago he said he preferred to be in charge of a Club rather than a National side.

Hello Mr SFA man! History is repeating itself.

Like the challenge of telling us the truth instead of that "i'll be here as long as the fans want me" p1sh with microphone in one hand and shiny new contract from caslte greyskull in the other. GTF Judas pr1ck - its a long shot but I hope the SFA tell him to bolt.

Greenmachine will become famous soon enough
Re: Mini-Walter

Mcleish is like every other manager and player in football, looking after himself.

He will want (and probably get) the Scotland job because it gets him back into high-profile management again, and will be a stepping stone back into club management probably in England.

I know i'm in a minority, but I rate the guy as a manager. Yes, he done the dirty on Hibs in the way he went to the huns, but I still think he was a very good manager for Hibs, and for Rangers for that matter. He was totally shafted at Ibrox IMO.

Sorry but I disagree, GM.

I think any future biography of him should be entitled "A Man for One Season"
(i.e 'Well, Hibs, Huns, Scotland?)

I'd call that the 'educated minority' as I would agree that in his 10 years or so in management he has put together quite a decent CV and he is by far the best available candidate around for the 'Scotland job' and it is only now that the followers of 'Scotland's Shame' are beginning to look back fondly on his 'glory years'.

It looks like he is just waiting for his coronation as the deal looks like it has been dusted a few days after Walter left for 'Scotland's Shame' and in advance of any offisheeeeeeeal announcements.. so no change there then

Re: Mini-Walter

Apologies but the coach of Hibs Domino team holds more interest for me than Scotland..
