Richard Gordon..........

...the Edinburgh Derby is now THE most exciting fixture in Scottish football.........

(Of course fud Smith has to say that the last OF Bigotfest was "exciting".....)

Re: Richard Gordon..........

it is the most exciting, more for bairns though, what other game in scotland has clowns like zibbi doing tricks and giving people christmas presents, and holywood actresses like gordon in goals?

Re: Richard Gordon..........

don't you think they are quite patronising when they say this sort of thing though

as if no other fixtures are allowed to be exciting apart from any of the old firm

Re: Richard Gordon..........

Has anyone actually seen an exciting old firm game? There alot of blood and thunder, late challenges, booking and shouting, but as far as football is concerned old firm games are just rubbish. You could play an Edinburgh derby in a public park in any country in the world and it would be interesting where as people just pay their money for the occasion rather than the football at Celtic Rangers games.

Re: Richard Gordon..........

Agreed.

Also, I think the Edinburgh teams can pride themselves on the fact that the rivalry is purely football, and we dont associate ourselves with the Sectarian bile that the Weedgie mob do. (although I realise there is a minority on each side in edinburgh who do).

Also, we can walk quite safely through Gorgie on match day, and likewise Hearts fans can walk through leith and the most they'll get is a bit of light-hearted banter. In Glasgow there is no way a Celtic fan could walk right through the Heart of enemy territory and feel safe.

Re: Richard Gordon..........

They seem to all agree Shiels was a red card, even though he was sent off for "punching" Gordon, when he clearly did not !??!?!? Are these cvnts for real??? If he didn't punch Gordon, then the red card was issued falsely. End off. idiots

He raised his hands and pushed into an opposing player, it's a red card offence.......similar to Hartleys one for pushing Stewart.....oh wait he received a yellow

Having looked at the pictures and video from the game I can see why the linesman thought it was a punch though and at normal speed would report it as such.

Oh and no pun or p1ss take intended but Gordon was on Deanos blind side, look at how he had to angle his head and body, and it could have been a late defensive action in putting his hands out to protect himself
