Jackie Mac would be a gd signing as he knows the game well but for me would only be a sub so waste of time getting him as whittaker and murphy look solid to play in before him..

If Brown goes in january, which hopefully he will because i cant be arsed with him anymore, then i think we could push whitty into midfeild as i think he could be the same type of player brown is/was, and put mcnamara at RB.

One of many possibilties i suppose though...

i'd love to see that happen. if anything just to see if he can play there....i think he could cos he's a skillful lad who likes to take on players.

From the times I've seen Whittaker play midfield imo he's not been half as effective as he is attacking from right back.

If JC thinks that Jackie Mac has still got plenty to offer then I'll happily take him here. Good cover for anywhere in defence and midfield.

Took the words right out of my mouth! Would rather see JM play the holding role. a great addition if true. Can cover all along the back four to. Still no forgotten about May 2001 mind due but still he can score for us in finals noo

I think that is exactly the role that Collins will have earmarked for him should he sign. McNamara is just the sort of player we need in that position and it would be a great move if we were to get him for 18 months or so.

The more I think about it the more I think it would be a very clever move to bring Jackie in to play that role. Would give us a better balance and make us a bit harder to breakdown. Have jackie sitting in front of the defence and breaking up the oppositions play.

I;m hoping that because he has made his big bix all ready through smeltick and foxes his main concern would be just to be guarenteed first team football at this stage in his career. Therefore a grand and a bit maybe for him seems fair enough considering hes been injured recently and no played for a fair bit.

My girlfriend cuts his daddy's hair, not that he's got much mind you

I asked him about this as it was speculation among people about 3 weeks ago. Jackie snr assured me that Jackie jnr is happy down south and won't be signing for the cabbage, although Jackie snr would love to see it. TBO, I was kinda glad as i think he's shoite!!!!!!!
