Out if contract at the end of the season, Aberdeen in pritty bad financial health and not cup tied for the League cup.

Superb idea. Smith is maybe not quite as good as Brown, but he's as good as we're gonna get on our budget. Good player, tricky, and has lots of pace.

He might be on more money, but im shure if we dangle a League Cup winners medal infront of him he'll jump at the chance to join us.
Also, with the likes of Brown possibly leaveing soon I want the lads who come in to replace them to be Scottish, I dont want the team to lose it character. |

I'm not convinced by Smith, good pro, but not exceptional. I don't expect Wally Smith to have him in the senior squad anytime soon.

A decent enough player who gets in amongst the goals but like mentioned if Hibs pay a top whack of around £1750 pw basic i doubt this guy is in our range as i am sure i read somewhere he is on about £2500 pw basic at Aberdeen. He is pretty injury prone too imo. Alan Gow is a player i think we would be better moving for to try give that bit balance on the left hand side of attack, he is a player who is also out of contract at the end of the season and would be stepping up in terms of club and wages. Similiar practise to the old firm i know but needs must if that is the route Hibs want to pursue.

Yeah Gow is a fine player, pritty much humiliated Rangers at the weekend, only problem is I heard Levante were after him. Would be great if we got him, not holding my breath though.

I think our age ceiling is approx £2500. Jamie Smith is an excellent player but i'd rather get cover for Jones/Martis and a new keeper.

Smith to me is a player that will jump about to whoever offers him the most dosh and I have had enough of watching players doing that at Easter Road, Would rather have homegrown boys that are happy to play for the club and not jump ship at the earliest opportunity.
