The lyrics to a famous John Lennon song, as the man who was murdered by a 'Catcher In The Rye' wielding loner 26 years ago on Friday railed against the mendacity and hypocrisy that characterised politics nearly four decades ago. The truth I want is a little different, but the methods employed by the liars are the same.

Willie McKay tells his rent boys in the Weejah Meejah:
- 'I'm trying to negotiate better contracts for SB and KT'.
Whereas, if he was to be candid about his aims, he would actually say:
- 'My objective is to sell Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson to Glasgow Rangers and I will sink to any animosity creating tactic necessary, disrupting the team spirit of Hibernian FC to achieve this'.

And what of the players? Come on Scotty, just be open with us. It's well known that you are a big Rangers fan and you want to play for them, why not just come out and admit you want to play in royal blue. Yesterday.

What of self-confessed Hibbie Kevin Thomson? You wouldn't be the first to leave us for them, despite a good upbringing. Craigie Paterson did the same in 1982.

For Christ's sake, most of us put up with cheats and liars every day in life. It's called the real world. Stop trying to pull the wool over the fans' eyes and get it out in the open.

Cos Rod Petrie is playing a blinder. He doesn't have to meet with cancerous turds like McKay. Doesn't have to acceded to any of his demands for meetings. The aces are not held by the Monaco manipulater.

And as Saturday evening's request by the most immature of the two demonstrated, the players are virtually at breaking point. Those of you with longer memories (like me) will remember a teetotal ned called Ian Ferguson, who played for St Mirren, but marched to the tune of a Shankill Road flute band. He wanted to play for the huns and in 1988 he employed the same sort of tactics to engineer a move, making comments in the paper of how he couldn't eat. Stress induced starvation cos he couldnae get a mvoe to the huns.

I just worry that someone as stupid (cos he ain't bright) as Broonie, with someone as willing to stoop as low as can go as McTurd, might start behaving similarly.

Cos if that transfer request confirmed one thing, then it is the desire of Scott Brown to leave Hibs FC and phuck what the supporters think.

Eck - the song was clearly a bit before your time, but Hughieo has quoted some of its lyrics. It's a good song, full of the bile and bitterness thatn characterised so much of Lennon's writing.

And, of course, it includes a word that is the antithesis of any statement made by Agent Cancer McKay.
