Dont get me wrong, we have a great squad, but the only young Scottish Talent we have left are Brown, Thommo, Fletch and Whittaker and in reality after that we have nothing that brought us to where we are now!

With the loss of Riordan and O'Connor its opened the gates for other players who will now look at how much money their mates have made and they will want a piece of the pie.

We may get £3m each for them, but then hats that going to buy? a £1m Goalkeeper and maybe a £1m Striker, who's wages will probably be far too much for Hibs, so bargain basement it is........AGAIN!

Then if Deano walks away for feck all, or even with a fee paid then thats all she wrote.

He will do a job for the sheep and come back to haunt us because Aberdeen are our closest threat at the moment, Deano wants regular action and Tangoman can give him it.

Im going to stop now before i slit my wrists, but you get my drift?

I would be dissapointed if Deano left like.

There will be a few younger players not far away like Damon Gray and Kevin McDonald. Plus I'm sure JC will have a few players he's watching.

We have a number of very talented youngsters waiting to make the breakthrough into the first team. Damon Gray will be a first team squad player by the start of next season IMO. Kevin McDonald is very similar to Kevin Thompson and i'm sure he will come through as well. Add to that Ross Campbell, Jamie McLuskey, and Keegan Ayre, then it is clear that we will be able to bring through more terrific young players.

I have to say however, that speaking as a regular attender at reserve games, I can't see another Scott Brown in there. I do think Collins will have to spend a fair chunk of any transfer money to get a decent replacement for Scott Brown.

In terms of mids - SPROULE-STEWART-BOOZY-ZEMMAMA plus Shiels (if he is still here in January and not at Aberdeen) and Jamies McCluskey. Plus Notman crocked + Murray on loan.

Scott Brown didnt start off the way he is now though, he was initially a lightweight centre forward with good feet, and hes changed from an outside right to a versatile midfielder.

So perhaps there is someone in the reserves, somewhere who will be able to adapt and fill such a role when they mature.
