South of Scotland hibs

Admins - feel free to move this if it's in the wrong forum (wasn't sure which would be the most appropriate).

I was just wondering if there were any other hibees from below the central belt - Borders, Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire, Dumfries and Galloway. I know we have a poster called Galloway Hibee way out west - I was just thinking in terms of getting to games and stuff we could all pool knowledge? Let's do it for Gala's finest...

ELWisty good idea i try to get through to E.R. as often i can
but it,s not easy stuck down here in the erse hole o Scotland
but been a Hibee for more than 35yrs seen more downs than up,s
and if we can keep the good young players here and maybe try
and have a look at the wage structure we could keep a lot more

How do you get up? I generally can't be bothered driving because I like a pint before and after the game, usually I get the train from Lockerbie to Waverley

Re: South of Scotland hibs

I am originally from Moffat ( now just outside Liverpool). I know of a few Hibees in Moffat and still go up to games with them. There are several that I know of in Dumfries and one in Castle Douglas and two in Lockerbie. It may be worth putting something in the Dumfries & Galloway Standard on a Wed or Fri to see if there is interest in a bus starting up. You may be surprised.
