Your favourite incompetence........

Refs. Scottish refs. My favourite subject.

There is a TOTAL misconception in this country and by millions of my Hibby brothers that the refs in scotland, when the OF are playing are "INCOMPETENT". Its is my opinion that at BEST they are BIAS and at WORST they are CHEATS.

I'd like fellow bouncers to collate there favourite refereeing "INCOMPETENCE", not generally, rather they should be incompetences when the OF are playing.

A few of my favourites are :

The OF captains. OF captains can go to ANY ground in scotland and run the game. OF captains can foul 2/3 times more than ANY OTHER player an the park. OF captains can get booked for persitant fouling early in a game and play for the rest of the game "steaming in" as if the first booking did'nt happen.


OF players are allowed to run into their supporters and cheer with them following a goal. Other teams players take a booking.


The advantage. Yip, that old phucking chestnut. OF get advantage. If their advantage doesn't work, the ref WILL, pull the match back (last season at darkedi anyone) and give the OF the original foul. Other teams do not get this. (prime example on Sun 2nd half - soapy is taking a corner, there is a foul in the box, but Zibbi has already collected and rolled it out for an attack. Ref blows. The saopys can now amble back to their own half. game stopped)

OF players 9 times out of 10 get AT LEAST one speaking too before they are booked. The speaking to generaly happens when the opposition are on the attack, either of the infirm are rattled. The infirm need to break them game up. 9 times out of 10 a booking would be the correct decision. No. They get spoken to by the ref. End result is the infirm get a breather and get back behind the ball.


Have I missed any more refereeing incompetence with the OF V the rest ???

I think the main problem is that when an Old Frim player goes down, the ref looks for a reason to give it, while if an opposition player goes down he looks for a reason NOT to give it!

Bookings or the lack of did cost hibs three points - Balde's persistant fouling was awful 5 or 6 times (or more) he's fouled benji without so much as a talking to cos he's already on a yellow.

mcmanus' straight red tackle on brown (two footed over the ball) - unpunished.

with the blatant lack of protection our players got it's a wonder we didnt have zero points and ward full of serious injuries...!
