i'm usually a pessimist, but feck it. collins seems to be drawing out the potential that's always been in our squad, more consistently than TM was able to (which is even making me wonder whether i overrated him - that he just inherited a great crop of players more than anything else. but i digress).

Rangers are conkers, aberdeen are not in our class, and hearts will be lucky to finish top 6.

imagine if we won the LC and came second. now i know the LC doesn't compare to the SC, but that - when you think about it - is purely tradition, ie the competitions are not really different in terms of what it takes to win them.

what we would have done would therefore be equivalent in terms of difficulty of achieving it, as herts managed last season. all while not selling our souls and piling up unsustainable debt. it would be funny as feck when you think about it.

Would love to see it. But we are 5 behind Rangers and level with Hearts, who haven't won a match in 2 months. Also, if we keep chucking away leads, we will drop alot of points.

Top 4 should be our aim.

I'd be surprised and class the season as a dissapointment if we dont get into Europe. 2nd place is there for the taking but I wouldnt be dissapointed if we didnt get it. Any lower than 3rd I'd be gutted about. What happens in January in terms of players coming will determine where we can finish imo.

We have the right man in charge to win a trophy (or 2

) this season and we can only throw the league cup away.

yeah but look where we were in relation to both of them a couple on months ago. it's all about trajectory dude

Anything lower than 3rd will now be a disappointment imho.

herts are fecked lad, dinnae worry about them. they'll be in a relegation dogfight come february.

Hearts will be up their to challenge for european places. As will Rangers, Aberdeen, Kilmarnock and ourselves. I honestly see rangers getting 2nd and the rest fighting for 3rd. I dont think 4th would be that bad though.

Totally agree. 2nd place is a distant dream as we cannot finish teams off. Ridiculous we did not win today, never seen a Celtic team so comprehensively outplayed and they still got a draw .

Let's be honest - before the Celtiv game we'd have been delighted with a draw. Still am, however disappointing it might seem just now.
I think it's about time we became a bit cocky, had a bit of a swagger and started believing (sorry..?!) that we can actually achieve something - and hope it permeates out onto the pitch and through the players as well. I never thought I'd say it after the Sauzee/Latapy era, but this is definitely the most comprehensive, exciting Hibs team I've seen in all my years as a Hibs supporter.
