Holding the Club to Ransom??

and various other posts on the same subject, it has finally got to me and really p*ssed me off!

Lets face it, if we give KT and SB more wages right now, they would still be sold for any 'decent bid' that comes from ANY club, thats a fact of football (so theres no point giving them more as they have long contracts). The two players have only recently signed extensions to 2009 & 2010 (correct me if im wrong) so whats changed in 'playing terms' over the few months that have past that automatically grants these two players a wage rise??? Nothing as far as i can see, they are performing no better and no worse than when the contracts were signed so i say f*ck off to your contract improvements and get on with playing for the club. The pair are signed on here for another 3 - 4 seasons, if theres a big improvement in Hibs' success (cup wins or 2nd/3rd place finishes) then yes, give them more money as they deserve it but the two players knew what they were signing a few months back and should show the club and the fans some respect by getting on with playing for Hibs.

OK as I see it

1. KT + SB will be sold in either january or next summer...

2. Hibs will make a pretty penny (both players on long contracts)

3. The players wages at the new club will/may be determined by their old wages at hibs SO if the agent get them more money, then punts them, his players are on bigger wages at their new club(s).



Example: petrov was going to go to england
agent however gets him a new wage at celtic then a move to villa - subsequently petrov has two wage rises instead of one and celtic make more money (more money because villa are trying to buy a "Happy settled" player opposed to a player stuck "unhappy" in an under payed contract.)

My solution: give the players new deals and sell them for more money.

Example Again: Would craig gordon be worth 5M is he wasn't paid 18K a week?

Bottom line: a players perceived value is partly linked to his current wage.

Total disagree....... they are grown men and should honour their contract like men ........when they signed extensions on their cotract that was good enough at the time and both were very happy then ........unfortunatly once these oxygen theives of agents start all this pish KT & SB are daft eniough to belive the shit that comes out of his mouth take a long hard look at what happend to others kenny miller,ian murry,deek but to name a few and theres been plenty more through the years.
So KT & SB get back to learning your trade and dont belive in what this tosser is saying and if you do have any ambiton and your good enough your big pay day will come and I more than most would wish you both thge best of luck........... unless you showed a complete lack of ambition and signed for the old firm .........

im sorry to say but gordon is worth 5million not because of his salary, because he is with out a doubt 1 of the best goalkeepers in the country (speaking from a scotland fans perspective ) so i think your overview of the sitution is severely flawed my friend
