same here, myself and a lot of other folk will struggle with work commitments to get through to the weedge midweek.

would be a better atmosphere as well when we take over the PBS, as opposed to a half full (if yer lucky!) Hampden.

Re: Tynie?

I'd love it to be played at Tynie. We'd fill it, it's only 20 mins away from my house, and it's a great atmosphere there when it's full.

Tynie would be my first pick if it was up to me.

Re: Tynie?

Far better there( three-quarters full of Hibbies) than an almost empty Hampden.
I just cant see the sense of playing it anywhere in the west
That running track at Hampden kills the place unless its heaving

Tynie only holds 18,000 and i think there will be 25,000 Hibees wanting to go so as much as i want it to be played at Tynie maybe it should be played at Hampden.

Aye right 25k Hibs fans wanting to go watch a game that will be on telly in all likelyhood and played midweek.
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
There were plenty gaps last night in our end in similiar circumstances so i reckon 12k at max Hibs fans with maybe 4k St Johnstone fans for this game. Tynecastle is the logical option imo without a doubt for atmosphere and capacity. Play it at Hampden midweek and we would be lucky to take 8k i reckon.

No really Darren, if Hibs used their savvy, they could introduce a voucher system for walk ups between now and the semi? One voucher per match?

Murrayfield a possibility

Atmosphere would be better at Murrayfield than Hampden I think plus right down the road. Think Tynie would be ideal but if folk are to be guranteed tickets then surely Murrayfield could be considered. Mind you the SFA dont seem to like the idea of cup games being played at Murrayfield

Re: Tynie?

when tynie was first mentioned i was like no chance but it does sound like a good idea. the only problem would be walk ups missing out as forza pointed out.

a televised midweek game at hampden would attract imo 12k hibees at best, and 4k saints fans at best. beter to have a packed ground and great atmosphere than an empty hampden.

perhaps though, if saints got 5k tickets at tynie, hospitality get a thousand

leaving 12k for us, its going to be a scramble!! maybe tynie is just too small??????
