What has the poor guy done to piss off Mowbray. Subbed unjustly last week and then again today. Sproule, Benji and Killen were far inferior than him today. In fact some of the chances towards the end would probably have been put away by Deano. The guy is our top scorer FFS, yet you can guarantee he won't be on the pitch for the whole 90 minutes.

Im not sure if this is the case but maybe deano isn't fully fit yet? He was out for close to 6 months and I cant remember if he has played a 90min game so far this season, so maybe that is the reason?

Well if Deano isn't fully fit then he's certainly not showing this in his form! He has been one of our best players and most consistent all season. Why take a player off if he's playing well , fit or not?

Given we were 1-0 down the decision to substitute one of our better goal prospects was baffling to say the least. Very similiar to what happened more often than not to Riordan last season as well though when even if having a good game was hooked around the 60/70 minute mark. Could be that Mowbray does not like left midfielders as Glass must have done something to piss him off too not to have been selected from the start yesterday in a midfield that to my mind contained only one natural midfielder in Stewart.

By the sounds of it he was terrible, i never took Deano as a diver, but he needs to take a look at himself if hes going to feature in the derby (if hes even going to be in the squad). If he leaves in January i will be another unhappy supporter because most of this season he has been really good and has scored goals for us, unlike some of the other players.

none of the team were great but he certainly wasnt terrible.

so hes not even going to be in the sqaud - what because of a dive???

I think Mogga will drop him for the derby but no none of the team where good at all, i mean Benji has to do better he has to work with the team not by himself, and Sproule maybe some good runs but no end product, we certainly needed Thommo, Brown and Boozy yesterday.

Aye, I thought we should have subbed a striker for a midfielder when we were chasing a goal myself...

As far as I'm concerned anyone who booed Dean Shiels getting subbed yesterday was more pished than I was. He provided absolutely nothing attacking wise, never got into any dangerous positions, and he has guaranteed he won't be starting unless we are missing about 4 midfielders.

Benji wasn't good, but he would have had to get some service (including from Shields) for that to be any game to judge him on. Neither was Killen.

The players from yesterday who should be having a serious look at themselves about how much they contributed should encompass every single on of them other than the keeper and defenders. If any other ones are remotely satisfied about what they done, they should try to work out what sort of standards they find acceptable, and if that is good enough to be playing at the level they are at.

* fletcher was the direct sub for deano as TM wanted to try 4-2-4 to over load the ST M defence - you'll notice as soon as fletch came on sproule pushed higher up the park.
* killen who must have spent the last week in greggs desevered to go - although he was the target man he never once managed a sucesful knockdown - unlike benji - when benji took over that role he didnt win as many battles in the air but when he did win them at least he found hibs players.
* folk who boo should think about why TM is making the decisions he's making and try to learn from what he's doing...

I'd go with everything there. Personally I'd have started glass.

Also folk can say what they like about Benji but who else had any real chances for us? If a goal was going to come it was from Benji certainly not from Shiels.
