Chris Killen interview

You'se probably haven't seen this but Soccer Talk Magazine (NZ) recently published an interview in which he said

"This league is a big shop window, and there are big incentives to perform well here, doing well for this team can lead on to deals at bigger clubs."

Gordon Stepping Stone Durie anyone?

Greenmachine will become famous soon enough
Re: Chris Killen interview

Of course Chris Killen sees Hibs as a stepping stone, as do the majority of the players at Easter Road. No surprise in what he is saying there. I just want these players to make Hibs a success in the time that they are here.

He will, especially with Zemmama and Benji floating around to supply him with passes. Killen does what all GOOD strikers do, he manages to stay on side, times his runs and will find himself in the clear a lot.

Re: Chris Killen interview

For me the jury is still out on Killen. He has a lot to prove. He has decent skill but for me he doesn't work hard enough or make the ball hold up enough. The same is true of Benji for me as well. That said I hope he tries his heart out to get that big money move because we could do with a striker or two on song and scoring.

I like Killen, but he's yet to win me over completely.

Feels he gives away too many petulant and stupid fouls. Sometimes he can get caught frustratingly bad at offisde but what striker doesn't? like you say its one of his good points though.

Re: Chris Killen interview

I think Killen is a decent striker, and he has shown already what a good finisher he is. I think he is quite a tough player, and defenders will not relish having to play against him. He reminds me a lot of Chris Sutton, who had virtually no pace either, but could hold the ball up, and had a strong physical prescence. Being a New Zealander, he certainly won't lack bottle either. It's all about avoiding injury for Chris Killen though. The type of player he is means he is always going to pick up knocks.

Re: Chris Killen interview

I dont know where Killen thinks he is going to go from here. He didnt exactly set the heather on fire at Man City or Oldham.
He should realise his limitations and accept that Hibs and the SPL are probably his level.

Re: Chris Killen interview

What is positive about this, is that Chris managed to come through the full interview relatively unscathed with only a minor tweak to his hamstrings...

First he should walk before he can run.. methinks.
