Sticky buns this weekend

Don't want to jinx it but I'm feeling v confident. Fair enough they tanked Falkirk on Saturday. But momentum's with us after yesterday's result. And I think they'll shite it against committed opposition - they've still had a shaky start to the season. Not to mention the fact they'll be surrounded by thousands of very very vocal hibees....

TM should start same as on Sunday, then bring Deano and Sproule on as impact players in the second half - I bet their defence is terrified of Ivan

The good thing imo is that because there has been such wholesale change at Ibrox, the new players wont be as familiar with our style or secret weapons.

It could be argued that our results against them last season prove that they couldn't handle our play, but I would say that on most occasions they knew our threats but didn't really believe we would 'do it again'

The new Manager etc will have done his homework but I feel we can still surprise them with our attacking prowess, speed and new found defensive fortitude.

I agree but, in a way it's rather disappointing for me, as one of my favourite memories from last season was watching Fernando Ricksen breathing out of his arse as he vainly chased Ivan's tailfeathers on the day he made history. It was like Wile E. Coyote v Roadrunner.

Beep Beep Fernando

Bluetoon - when the flange from the Netherlands breathed out his hoop at least that made a change from him talkin out of it (given his regular outbursts of pish in the Retard).

Bring on the Huns...looking so forward to this game, and fully expecting the win...and why not...we have come off from a good win, but so have the Huns but they are there to be beatin...and i actually think maybe we should start Deano for this game as when he came on he changed the game....So come on the Hibees.

Re: Sticky buns this weekend

The Huns not playing this week in the Uefa cup? Le Guen strikes me as the sort of guy who might rotate his players to give them a rest rather than push them week in week out so we could be facing a slightly weakened side perhaps come Sunday. Very confident we could get a point out of this game at least.

Re: Sticky buns this weekend

The huns don't worry me as much as Hibs do. We are a 45 minute team at the moment and that won't do against anyone in this league except the relegation fodder. If we play for the full 90 I expect to beat the huns.

Going down to Blackpool so gutted to be missing it, but I feel confident in us getting all 3 points against Rangers if we play the way we can. MON THE CABBAGE

Re: Sticky buns this weekend

Rangers have started the season pretty similar to Hibs, creating a lot of chances and not taking them.

I think the way that Le Guen has rangers playing this season will suit hibs better, they arent as physical and play more on the deck like us. If we can put some early pressure on them, and sneak an early goal and stay tight at the back then we could go on and record another victory over them.

we also need to get behind the team and act as an twelvth man, we have our part to play too!!

Re: Sticky buns this weekend

Rangers away form has been dodgy since the start of the season, but they have been playing quite well at Ibrox. Sundays game will be the biggest test of the season for both teams, and I expect Hibs to really have a go. We have a good chance, but any game against the OF is always going to be very hard to win. Hibs are going to have to play well for the entire game and not just for one half. It has all the makings of a cracking game. Let's hope it lives up to it, and Hibs finish up with the three points.
