Using the "but I pay my money and am entitled to voice my opinions" to hide behind the abuse of a player is nothing but a kop-out. I completely fail to see how that can be classed as supporting your team by any stretch of a warped imagination.

There are more positive ways to channel frustrations - like letting rip into the opposition! Why do some folks spend more time berating our players than the opposition - and at times appears to be with more venom. Beggars belief some of the nonesense folks spout.

We have a young team who learn by through coaching and yes failing. If we are seeing repetition over an exented period then its up to Tony and Mark to address that.

BUT! I fail to see how going and moaning and generally slagging off players is a) enjoyment or b) constructive to the team in any way ...

(could add a c) helpful at all to the guys round about you who've also paid and have to suffer your barrage of crap

Watched a match in Argentina where the home side (Independiente) were pretty shit ... the fans cheered them on all through the game, but at the end the players had to have police protection as the fans were so incensed (they were beaten by Velez Sarsfield and felt they shouldn't have been) .... I kinda sympathise with that .... support the team while the game is going on, vent your frustrations/anger when the final whistle has gone if you don't like what you've seen ...

There nearly always seems to be at least one target, be it a Hamilton, a Farrell, a Wiss , Townsley or Murdock. Though it's hard to top the guy who used to scream abuse at Arpinon even when he was out injured
