New sponsor opens the bidding

A new sponsor for Hibernian Football Club aims to provide supporters with an opportunity to become involved in a new trend that is proving very popular throughout the country. SimplyBidding.com is an auction site but with a twist, rather than the highest bidder grabbing the goods it is the lowest unique bid that comes out on top!



To mark the new sponsorship deal Hibernian have provided the first few ‘lots’ offered by the reverse-auction companies web site, including a pair of much sought after hospitality tickets for the Club’s next home game against Rangers. In a traditional auction it is the highest bid which secures the item, but in a Simply Bidding reverse auction it is the lowest unique bid which is the winner. This means that you, as a Hibernian supporter, have the chance to pick up great items for literally pennies!

To be a winner you must bid low and unique. Put simply, a unique bid is a bid amount that no-one else has bid. So in the example below 1p is the lowest but 3p is the winner as it is low and unique.

Bids can be made online through the SimplyBidding.com web site or by text message. The minimum bid is £0.01 and there is no maximum. hope it gets money for Hibs but will cause a lot of people to pay a lot of pounds just for the chance to place a bid. Think Ill stick with ebay
