Just back from a long day at work and was talking to some Yams today and was talking about the gay songs and how we are getting in pish over them and how there is a big sign along the end of the East Stand, and they just laughed and i was like so what are youre club doing about the gay songs? ...he replied nothing, no signs, no anything...so ive been thinking that we are being singled out for something we didn't start and also think that this should have been sorted straight after the Scottish Cup final....But i have also been thinking it might be because we are aiming it at one person and he has every right to complain so i think he has and we are getting in shit for it. So the yams will come to Easter Road and sing the Gay song, which if we are not aloud to sing back then it is a certainty for trouble. I think because they are aiming it at us Hibees and not at one person that this is why they are getting away with it and that if we sang ohh the jambos are gay then we would too, well just what i think.

I see your point but I think this song is past its sell-by-date! My yam mates still think its a shocking song , one of them even text me at the semi apologising for such an embarrasing song! The Romanov is funny yes , but not the Hartley song. Think we should just stick to the Vlad song from now on

Yeah mate i totaly agree with you there the gay date is crap, i mean i said i would keep singing it but i am getting bored with this stupid song match after match and yes the Vlad one is the best....but is it not Homaphobic

Yeah certainly will be and if they start singing there bigortry or IRA songs then i will certainly go up to the police and go ' we get banned for singing some banter and they are getting away with there pish' because if we are getting lifted for our songs and there stuff is worse than ours then why are they not.

lets face it though plenty are saying the Hartley song doesn't make sense , neither does the Sproule one . Both are pish imo

Yeah i dont sing the Team of Ivan Sproule song because i feel its shite and sometimes i dont sing, well certainly last night with some of the songs, because i felt they just repeated themselves like all we sang was Hibernian, Hibernian ....... for like 10 minites until someone changed it to a better song, and then i joined in.

Thats part of the problem at games now, there is hardly any imagination in coming up with fresh new topical songs. Some of the least offensive ones can be just as good as well. The Tony mowbray....Green and white army is ok though getting dated and every other team copies it, like we probably copied it in the first place. Other problem is that away supporters tend to hear only the hibees chant or glory glory to the Hibees (another not very original chant)

Yeah agree totally alot of our songs are copied ie....the gay song....Tony Mowbrys green and white army (here other teams singing it all the time) and think that we need to think of new songs that are going to still be around in years to come....we may also sing some offensive songs but as you say they can also be good aswell....and yes the Glory Glory song has been around a while aswell now and is going past its sell by date.

I'm not particulary bothered about the Hartley song and I found the Romanov song mildly amusing but what gets on my tits is them being sung at every game. Why are these songs being sung at games that involve neither, H****s, Hartley or Vlad.
