As read in the fans comments today in the EEN

One of the comments made by a hibby was that we should charge the smeltic canutes £27.oo when they come to Easter Road if they are doing it to us. Dont know how much we do charge them but I agree with the comment and if we dont charge them that much money lets start doing it for the next time they come through.

Re: As read in the fans comments today in the EEN

There were a few comments in the sunday papers by infirm fans stating clubs charge too much when it comes to them. They claim that the other SPL clubs know they will sell out and charge more as a result. I wonder if these guys know how much they charge visiting fans, often without any real concessions.

I don't think it is fair to hike up our prices as a knee-jerk reaction to the potato weedgies charging visiting teams so much for a pishy view.

The away support should be charged the same as the home support. and kids prices should be much much cheaper - Killie set a good example - £5 for U-12

What would be better is limiting the amount of the bigot brothers at ER to the same number we get at darkheed & the hunnery.

Agreed, the chances of it happening though. We charge them £24 pound for a hell of alot better view than we get at Parkhead.

Charge the old firm 30 quid a pop to come to ER.

1. there's enough of the dafties who'll pay it
2. there is no 2nd reason.

Re: As read in the fans comments today in the EEN

In all fairness, hate the Huns as much as I do, they do not charge anything near the rip off prices Celtic do. I say charge Celtic £ 27.50 and £ 20 concessions, Hearts and the Huns whatever they charge us ( around £ 24 and £ 12) , Aberdeen and Inverness make sure we take at least £ 15 for their concession tickets and the rest a flat £ 20 and £ 10.

I think you're right. The tickets can't be more than the home fans are paying.

Nothing to say we can't stick a few temporary pillars up in the away end when they come though...

Re: As read in the fans comments today in the EEN

we cant go taking the moral high ground though. It wasnt long ago the Yams were boycotting ER because of high prices. Im sure they came down after that, and TBH its the best way to get teams to bring prices down. Maybe celtic and rangers wouldnt suffer so much though as they only give away around 1k and they could sell them to their own fans.

Maybe they should do what (at least used to) happen at cup semi final stage , but with the league. All gate receipts directly to the SPL and divided by twelve equally. Would even things up and the old firm would still have all their merchandising/foreign support rackets to make them feel bigger. alas that's football utopia...........

They were charging us more to get in swiney than they were paying at ER for years. They only decided to have a "boycott" when they were

I'd love to be in the position that we could limit our away fans, however, do you not think, that, at the moment, we kinda rely on them

Re: As read in the fans comments today in the EEN

Are you aware of where the term of potato, tattie, etc comes from in terms of slagging Celtic NGP? It's used to denote the reason why many Irish immigrants came to Scotland, namely the Potato Famine which millions died in. Included in the descendants of those who came to Scotland because of this were the founders of Hibs.

You might no gie a feck but I find it incredibly offensive to hear or see any Hibs supporter using it. It's ignorance, and stupiditiy imo.
