Question Expectations

What do you expect from hibs this season personally id like 4rth and a cup win but i think unless we get a 20 goal a season striker we will be lucky to make the top six zemmas arrival will create the chances for a good striker and boozy will be back soon so midfield will be competitive the defence looks stronger than it has for a while if we can avoid injuries a decent striker and we could be pushing for third so tell me your hopes for this season and what you belive this squad is capabile of.

Re: Expectations

How can people possibly say we will be lucky to make top 6? Who is Abderdeens 20 goals a season striker? Who is Killies? Do Dundee Utd have one? Motherwell certainly dont. Inverness have Dargo, one good season in his life and only scored 20 goals in 5 years before. Who the feck is going to keep us out the top 6. Comments like that are fecking stupid. We should be battling for a top 3 place.

Edit: Who is the Yams bloody 20 goals a season striker?

Re: Expectations

We could add not one single player to our squad, lose a first choice keeper, defender, midfielder, and striker, and we'd still be comfortably in the top 6. The reason I think this? On Saturday no Simon Brown, no Chris Hogg, no Boozy, and no Killen. And we absolutely slaughtered a side who won't end up being close to getting relegated.

Dunno about that one. Think they will battle it out with Dundee United this season for the drop. Will somebody be able to come up? Thats another matter.

I think both will be saved by Dunfermline. Surely dead certs for the drop.

Honestly don't think they will be close to getting relegated. Dunfermline, and St Mirren will both end up below them.

Think we'll get a better judgement in next 4-5 games. Can't see St.Mirren being anywhere near it. Personally I hope United go down, Dunfermline after that.

It's hard to say until everyone's played each other. Without our two strikers we're not as formidable as we were and teams we class as worse/smaller than us will still see us as a big scalp and will raise their game against us accordingly. We'll make top six I think. But it'll be harder.

Greenmachine will become famous soon enough
Re: Expectations

If Mowbray can bring in a striker with a decent goalscoring record, we will finish top 4 at least IMO. Also, I hope he keeps Konde as he is good cover for the centre-back positions. We have a much improved defence, and the best midfield in the country. If we can just add one more goal threat up front we will be as strong as any side in the league. As usual injuries will be our biggest enemy. Hopefully we can avoid the freak situation we had last year, and the squad will be stronger.

It's when you look at the rest of the SPL, I really don't see a team that is better than Hibs. We can beat both the OF and Hearts as we have done already over the last 2 years.

Goalkeeper is the only position that really concerns me.

I would go along with every word of that. Special pleading to win the Scottish for me this year. With that team it ought to be possible.

There's potential for goals right through the squad though, we've arguably got the classiest midfield in the SPL, which will be even better once Boozy's back, competing for a place, the inFirm and the Yams are there for the taking :YAYYY:
