Thinking Old Firm and Yams there for the beating?

None of them seem to be firing on all cylinders, fair enough the season's hardly started, but I say Hibs are capable of scaring the living s*** out of any of them :YAYYY:

Re: Old Firm and Yams there for the beating?

Agreed. I don't rate either of the OF or Hearts. If we could only get our arse into gear we could really take advantage. Mowbray has to get this team scoring goals again. The signing of Martis, along with Jones should make us a more solid team, but he has to start playing players in their right positions, and getting the formation sorted out. If Zemmama is as good as he says he is, then get the team playing a system that brings out the best in him and the other players.

Killen's injury makes it even more important that we bring another striker in. Either way, it is vital we beat Motherwell next Saturday to kick-start our season.

The OF were always going to be dodgy for differing reasons, and I think Hearts could be about to implode. Defeat to Rangers and AEK will probabaly seal Valdas's fate.

Let's get going Hibees !!

The problem that I see is that all the other teams that are down at the foot of the SPL with us are looking and saying 'Hibs are crap, they're there for the beating!', and tbh I'm not sure how robust or confident our squad is at the moment and the other teams may be right!

OF and Hearts are pish but they are still better than the rest of the league by a bit.

OF will be 1 and 2 and Hearts will be comfortable 3rd.

Rangers are starting games without probably their best 4 players and once their new players get going, they will be capable of going on runs of wins. Same with Celtic, once their new players settle in they will break away from the rest too.

Exactly. The likes of ICT, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock will be seeing us as not much of a threat this season, and will be confident they will be able to take points off us and finish above us in the league. We have to get back to winning away games (and home games, for that matter!) and start getting some form back.

We will soon, i'm absolutely sure of that. We have a better squad of players than both ICT and Aberdeen IMO.

Maybe a good chance for Killie or Aberdeen but not us apparently.

Not trying to make excuses but we rarely take points from the teams we were playing, and i think it was BobbyS who said we were a point ahead of what we done last season. Saturday will definatly have to be the turning point though and there can be no excuses.

I think he meant in the corrsponding games - ie: ICT away we took 0 pts, Aberdeen home (2nd time) we took 0pts etc.

And that's a good was a good point about how we don't take points off those teams - it was very hard for us to come out on top against ICT, Aberdeen and Killie last season - we've had some bad results against them - but we still managed to finish above them (just) in the table at the end of it all. I think we still can this season, but we have to start banging the goals in soon!
