Looking at the fixtures though it is going to be tough to get a good run of results going. A win against Motherwell is a must then maybe hope to catch Celtic cold and take it from there. Doesn't help this season that teams like St mirren and Falkirk have started pretty well as they will be harder prospects for now coming up than we have played against last season with Livvy in St mirrens place of course. Still looking to the weekends game as the one that could kickstart the season and get the confidence levels up amongst the players and fans alike. Time for the fans to rally round the team rather than condemn it after a clean sheet and decent point against Caley.

Celtic have dropped points, so have Rangers, so have Hearts.

It's not been a disastrous start and we've had some difficult fixtures. If we're still not improving after 11 games I'll start to worry. Three goals conceded in 3 games is a vast improvement.

I make that on our last 3 visits to Parkhead we've been ahead, and came away with a single point.

Part of me thinks that this points to something fundamentally wrong. Part of me think that Celtic maybe just have a sign over us, because it simply doesnae happen with any other team.

We have some good games coming up against Dundee UTD, Falkirk and Rangers, which we can get points from and i fully expect us to get full points against all these teams, and yes even Rangers as they are not doing all that brilliantly this season and we could grab points off, of them. Our start to the season has not been amazing but i feel that now we are starting to get back onto form and the next few games will be the start of things to come.

The season is only 6 games old, but already we've seen major improvement on last season with only 6 goals conceded in those 6 games. Only 4 goals conceded in 4 away games and 2 clean sheets.

Interestingly...we've also scored more goals than in the corresponding games last season.

I'm comparing the actual games: first home game with hearts this season, with our first home game v hearts last season. The setanta stats would just be the first eleven games of last season: our first game last season v the scumbos was away.

Does that make sense?

Agree with your calculations Bobby. Here are the actual first round of games though, whether home or away, which does show we are 7 points down.
