this is something hibs MUST have if we are to challenge for europe. we need to feel as though it is out RIGHT to win EVERY game we play. we may not have the cutting edge that we had last year, but we have quality in abundance in midfield and our defence looks much more solid than it did last year.

when celtic, rangers and hearts (yes - hearts. they ARE up there with the OF and it's time we accept that and DEAL WITH IT rather than pretending it's not happening) conceed an equalizer after going a goal up, they ALWAYS react positively and hit you with a barage of attacking play in order to win the game. we DIDN'T do this at killie. WHY THE HELL NOT? WE ARE BETTER THAN THEM! IT IS OUR RIGHT TO WIN THESE GAMES, AND WE ARE THE MUGS THROWING AWAY THIS RIGHT!

we have it in us to challenge the big three, and we've only got ourselves to blame if we don't.

so, my message to tony - stop building hibs up as the under dogs. our team isn't "young" anymore. these lads have at least 3 seasons of 1st team football behind them. START ACTING LIKE MEN AND BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE THE BEST.

if we go up to inverness KNOWING that we are a better team, we will have a much better chance of winning. it about bloody time we go up there and hand them a proper beating, because hibernian are BIGGER and BETTER than ICT.

Don't no why u think jambos are that good.

After they won their 1st 11 league games their league form was nothing spectacular they scraped 2nd place in the end

They won the scottish cup without beatin either of the OFand beat us in the semi when we had so many injuries it was ridiculous then proceeded to struggle again gretna and only beat em on penalties

look, you're missing the point of this thread. we have the potential to do what they are doing WHITHOUT breaking the bank. we have enough quality in our team already.

Think the post is spot on. We will definately have to up to ICT and give them a real hammering to get back up the top of the table. 2 games in - we need to turn up the heat if we want to better our last season position.

Quagmire is right, the Jambos are up there with the infirm and its something we have to accept..I take it you didnt see the Yams v Smeltic game on Sunday? I am almost afraid to say that they ripped the piss out of smeltic and that they looked very good.

However, that said they are a bunch of Yam canutes and if Hibs do adopt a winning mentality we do have the players to make a huge impact on the league but we need to score goals and it needs to begin against ICT.

I think the insecurity in the team stems from the manager himself. He should forget all the philosophical bullshit, start kicking arses and get some points on the board. Imagine what Eddie Turnbulls reaction would have been to lazy bastard Killen.

Hearts wont be within 10 points of the winners of the SPL at the end.

Exactly mate, i will never be drawn to say Hearts are better than us, and yes wouldnt surprise me if Hearts where miles behind the winner of the league this season.....Hearts are not good they have no good players dont exactly have a amazing strike force and to me there team is pretty average after they lost Scacel they are crap, thats who they will miss this season, and they are not better than us, they maybe in Europe but just think how much that will tire them out and how much that will help us.

if you really believe this, you're more deluded than any yam.

paul hartely, like it or not, is a very good player. presley is possibly the best defender in the SPL. gordon is THE best keeper in the spl. bednar is better than anything we have up front. the list goes on and on.

the only department we are stronger than them in is midfield.

this isn't my frigging point though, reda the post again, i'm saying we CAN be as good as them.

I didn't say we wouldn't be behind them.

You said they had as good a team as the OF. I disagree totally with that.

Hearts are weaker than last year. Webster was their best defender. When they were at their best, it was when Skacel was scoring for fun. He is gone now.

Hearts finished miles behind celtic last season and only ONE point ahead of Rangers. Rangers have improved their squad over the summer and Celtic have still got most of the players that finished ahead of Hearts.

look at a) our squad and b) our league placings over the last 2 years. they are a bottom half side and we are one of the few teams the ALWAYS show up against

All the players you mentioned where in their squad last year and did they challenge for the league?? No they did not. Finishing 17 points behind is not a challenge.

great point. For those that seen the Hearts game against Celtic you could clearly see hearts deserved the win more than celtic. An i for one like cadge think that Hearts do have a chance of winning the league this season. Yes it hurts to say that and yeah we all like to say there crap and there not any better than us...but deep down i think we all know Hearts are a good team and are capable of winning the league. It hurts to say it but deep down everyone knows it.
