I read elsewhere today Mr Petrie being praised for the intended 'Youth Academy' and i just want to identify what the impression/understanding within the support is for the clubs plans down East Lothian..

not as straight forward a question as you put it, Smurf

The Training Academy throws up more questions than answers. Even during its announcement certain "details" were left out.

For instance, who owns/owned the land that has been given to Hibs at a bargain basement price?

The next question is , Why would they give it to Hibs?

Is this the "key" to other "projects" in that area that may come up in the future?

Are Hibs being used to allow developers make a killing on other land projects that may be someones "vision"?

I think i may give some explanation. Around East Lothian (especially Tranent) a lot of land is being sold by farmers to build more houses, maybe this piece of land is useless to build on but is able to be used as pitches. Therefore the owner is till able to make a good profit without selling to these big companies building houses!

I am not saying this is a fact, it's just kind an of opinion.

Actually, i would like to see these little clandestine meetings that take place within the Hibernian community that i stumbled across the other week being much more 'open' to the wider support rather than just a chosen minority.

I raised within such meeting my concern that it's all very well having meetings but the problem is that IMO the majority of Hibby's actually don't quite know what's going on at their club as the club only bothers to tell them what they want to them know.

I think i've proven this point with the results on the polls on here, .net and mass hibsteria.

Inclusive is the way forward for our support not exclusive.

Lots of great well intentioned Hibby's within our support but there does appear to be at times a closed shop mentality in terms of supporter representation.

For the avoidance of doubt, anything stated in the above post is written without prejudice; is probably completely uninformed opinion, and possibly just a figment of my imagination. Readers should either ignore, treat with contempt, or simply accept the spirit it is written in, without recourse to huffy replies, legal action or threats of violence.
That includes YOU.

Quite interesting results from here and .Net..
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 5 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

119 respondents so far. Not anywhere near high enough to claim to be scientific but nonetheless interesting..

30% have an understanding that it's going to be 'An All Singing All Dancing First Team Training Centre & Youth Academy'

17% have an understanding that it's going to be 'An All Singing & Dancing First Team Only Training Centre'

42% have an understanding that it's going to be 'A Basic First Team Training Centre & Youth Academy'

11% have an understanding that it's going to be 'A Basic First Team Only Training Centre'

So it appears from this unscientific Poll that 89% have an understanding different from perhaps the reality...

Why would they not let the youth teams train there

Ofcourse they will let them train there. There isnt exactly a shortage of space. I dont think the fans fully understand what is going on but why do people have to constantly look for negatives in such a positive project
