I'd like to see Stevenson get a shot there - it can only be good for the young players to get as much experience as possible against first-team opposition. On the other hand, we don't want to concede goals down to inexperience at the back which is why Mowbray may opt to play Steven Glass there instead.

I'd go for Stevenson.

would definately prefer to see stevenson being given a chance as glass never feels comfortable playing there and i would like to shields playing instead of whittiker as he doesnt know what the word defence means

Glass will play at left-back tomorrow and so he should.

Lewis Stevenson is a good prospect but IMO is not ready to play in the first team in the SPL. We need all the experienced players we can get tomorrow.

He will get his experience don't worry about that, it's not about just playing them anytime theres a chance, it's more about picking and choosing the games that will let him get in the team and make an impact rather than treading water.

TM knew Murphy wasn't available for months and I'm sure if he was goin' to blood Stevenson he'd have played him a couple of times before the Charlton game (not sub)

Last week was the second time I can remember seeing Stevenson play and he looked OK I suppose but he is far from being a 'hot prospect' and his game looked more like that of an attacking midfield player.

He might make it in the SPL or he might end up in the part time world of the Scottish lower divisions but tomorrow isn't the game to try him out as an SPL left back.
