Formation
Anyone else think Mogga's kind of changed the formation and this has had an effect on the midfield and our game? Seems to have changed to a more flat 4-4-2 from the 4-5-1 he seemed to favour last season. Can't really understand wny to be perfectly honest, as in Killen we now have the type of player suited to holding up the ball and also getting onto the end of crosses from the two wide players.
Personally feel 4-5-1 is more suited to our players and the way we play. Players like Sproule, Dalglish, Fletch, Benji? (wait to see on that one, could be he could play in behind the lone striker?) are good and getting down the wings as they showed last season. Also it gives us another 3 in the centre my 3 being Thommo, Brown and Boozy. Really feel Mogga should go back to this formation. With it being a much moire flexible system as you can have 5 in midfield when defending, meaning against most teams we'd have an extra man, making it easier to close down space and leaving opponents more likely to make mistakes. And then when attacking we in theory can be playing with three up with one or two players pushing forward from midfield. This would stretch back fours more, as you could have one player out wide knocking it in, 2 in the middle waiting on it and still have another 1 or 2 players attcking the edge of the box, or making late runs into the back post. And thst still leaving 4 or 5 at the back. And of course you still have your full backs attacking which would leave teams even more stretched at the back. Obviously they also have the midfielders tracking back, but if they are only playing with four it can mean a striker has to track back, cutting out a chance of counter attack. Of course this is all just in theory, and works on a tactics board but whne it comes to the real thing it's different. But I just feel this is our best suited formation.

Re: Formation
I think he will go back to that. We just didn't have the players to play that formation yesterday.
