Re: who was the last hibs player to score in a world cup game?

If I remember rightly, only Turnbull, Ormond & Blackley have actually played in a world cup finals game whilst technically Hibs players and none of them scored.

Re: who was the last hibs player to score in a world cup game?

Not really the answer you're looking for, but one-time Hibs players include John Collins at France 98 and Steve Archibald at Spain 82.

No other Hibs-connected player has scored in the finals from 74 onwards.

Don't know about the 50s campaigns- you may be right.

Re: who was the last hibs player to score in a world cup game?

DLC played for Ecuador in 2002 while still a registered Hibs player. Don't think he scored though.
Mark Caughey was part of the NI aquad in 1986 finals, but I don't think he played let alone scored.

I don't think Goram played a single world cup game in his career.

Leighton was an Aberdeen player in 1986, a Man United player in 1990, and an Aberdeen player again in 1998.

I think.

Roughie never played in the WC Finals when he was at Hibs.

He signed with us in november '82, his last finals played in Spain that year, although he did go to Mexico '86 he never played. His first game for us was 2-3 home defeat to the SDB's

Actually this pair and Roughie, did more than any outfield players to keep Hibs in the Premier League/SPL.
