Seems that Trev on Hibs.net is pretty confident the club are going to announce a new facilty owned and run by the club in the very near future.
Outstanding news when it comes, hopefully the first of a few good news stories coming out of the club this close-season.

We knew about it last week but kept it back until we had spoken to the club. Looks like the official site and Hibs net have carved it up between them.

One of the most important announcements in a while at Hibs? Great news that it might be up and running for next years pre season training and it should help enhance what is already a good production line of young players coming thru the ranks.

The land is owned by a company called East Mains Ltd, they secured the deeds in april this year, and are leasing it back to Hibs. Just who owns East Mains Ltd is anybody's guess.

All in tho' this is excellent news for Hibs and the conveyer belt of talent that has emerged over the years, and hopefully will continue, now has a base to operate from.
As I've said in the past, this facility not only allows us to nurture and develop our own talent but goes a long way to bringing in players as well, when you boast of a great stadium AND an excellent training facility, players will sign more readily.

Aye it is an important piece in the jigsaw Colin. At long last facilities we can be proud of and a big help in taking the club to a situation where we can help to attract talent and demonstrates that our training facilities will be best in class.

This, again, is great news. The development of the club's own training facilities has been Tony Mowbray's number one priority for a while and I'm inclined to believe that this must have been an influential factor in his decision to decline Ipswich's advances last week.

Given that our major rivals already have such a site in place we really needed to ensure that we didn't get left behind. Having such facilities will definitely help attract better youth talent and attract better players to Easter Road.

At present, the garden is looking very rosy.
