Nobody's fault but our own!

I know we've had injury problems and other issues making life difficult at ER recently but I don't really like all this talk about what other teams are doing and what that means to our chances of 4th/Europe etc!

We were 11 points ahead of Rangers in 3rd place! Now we're struggling to finish 4th! We could even finish 6th I think!

It's not really acceptable, our recent form has been dire and apart from a 2-1 derby win where have the highlights been? I mean 0-4 at Pittodrie

If any other teams had the injurys we've got, they'd suffer, it's just came at the wrong time of the season, look at the huns, when they had their dire run, they had 6 or 7 first team players out, hence the reason Ian Murray was playing every week, look at him now ?
With Caldwell, Smith and Riordan all leaving, we need at least 4 players coming in to replace them. 2 or 3 defenders and a couple of strikers.

Exactly. I don't want us to lie down to Rangers. If we can't be good enough to finish in a European spot over the course of the whole season, then that is our fault. We should have been better. We can't expect anyone else to do us a favour. Even with the team we had out in recent weeks some of the results are completely unacceptable.

Losing 4-0 isn't acceptable.

I think you missed my point, all I am saying is, even the biggest clubs suffer with that many injuries.

I agree but to the best of my knowledge we've always been able to play players from the FIRST TEAM SQUAD.

Can't recall us having to play any youth team members...

Although it would probably do us good.

The whole point is there's no point moaning about our problems! they're well documented!

If we've not got a big enough squad, if we lose players, if we have bad runs if we lose heart whose fault is it?

Agreed. Even with the team we had out, we still shouldn't be losing 4-0 to Aberdeen, and 4-0 to the yams in the semi. Every team has injuries, and people seem to use it as an excuse for defeats. It is to an extent, but not for recent results.

Yes, although Konde was only having his 2nd start, Sheilds his 4th, players like Dene Sheils thrown in at the deep end, albeit only as a sub, but he wouldn't have figured again this season if we hadn't had all these injuries IMO.

If Konde isn't good enough then why did Mowbray sign him 5 months ago? Shields apparently has been given a new contract. As you say Deano was a sub.

Aberdeen have been awful all season. Struggling to score goals. But then any team short on goals and confidence must dream of playing a defence like ours..

Our defence is shambolic, if that good, I cannie for the life of me think why our manager and assistant (2 reasonable defenders in their time) cannie see our defence is shit, and do something about it.
