Think this looks great. Reminds me of Ipox with the TV screen in the corner. Obviously it aint real, but would love to have our stadium like that!

Send this to the head honchos at ER asap.I fear when and if the East does get done it will just be another separate stand.IMO grounds with corners filled in just look so much better.

That's brilliant, but you would have to convince the east stand traditionalists that the atmosphere would still remain. Games like last weekends would assure a terrific atmosphere, even at saughton park.

For all it looks smart with the corners filled in, what would be the point in having a 25 / 30 thousand capacity ?

Would rather play in a more or less sold out ground to a half empty one.

I very much doubt it mate. Even if the prices were reduced, we still wouldnie. Then we'd have the costs of this nice big ground to cope with, with the same gate receipts we're collecting now.

kinda imagined this is how Easter Road would look as the finished article, but unfortunate I believe we are a few years away from that, tho' not too many hopefully.

I think the finished stadium is, at least, 2-3 phases away from being complete.

First phase

Demolish East Stand, rebuild with a mirrored West ... 3 years minimum(2009)

Second Phase

Fill in corners at one end, probably FF-East and FF-West first, probably incorporating a big screen ... 2 years later(2011)

Third Phase

Fill in the remaining corners East-South and West-South, incorporating another big screen diagonally opposite the first one ... 2 years later(2013)

That would be some stadium but theres no point in spending money we dont have to build a stadium we cant fill. (and do we really need the 4 dug-outs??

Found the plan for the finished article of ER. From the looks of things on that plan, The east stand looks around the same size as the West. But if you look closely there is differences in the drawings!

yes, but without the car park behind it(as the West Stand has now), as assured by Messrs RP and STF when they sold off the old car park a couple of years ago.
