Is Ivan Sproule ...

... now banned for near enough the rest o' the season

I'm sure I read somewhere that another booking would put him over the points limit.

OK for Aberdeen but out of the Huns and Killie games?

I think your right, maybe he can use the time off to git his heed out of his arse and find his form again.

maybe

no really, unless you know how many points he's accumulated

If he has gone beyond the points limit then, according to rule 3.7.4 he will only miss the Killie game as the ban kicks in 14 days after his last offence/booking.

the points applied to each booking can vary according to the seriousness of the offence, but I'm sure I read that it didnae matter what his next booking was for, it would lead to a ban.

Canny mind where I read it.

I remember reading that as well Colin though I can't remember where. Perhaps that was why he seemed so annoyed with the booking.

Don't know why he was annoyed, I have to say I thought it deserved a straight red. Outrageous challenge again. In danger of becoming a liability in these games.

Looking at it today on zitelli it looked a bad hit, however there was no intent, he was stretching for the ball.

Sorry K, but I can't agree.
I'm not saying it was sinister, but it was reckless, dangerous and stupid. He was almost horizontal when he caught Berra (I think), studs to the side of the knee. If it had been the other way round, we'd all have been apoplectic.
Haven't seen it on TV, just my opinion (shared by a few around me) at the time.

Looking at it yesterday from the FF he was lucky that it wasn't a red, however looking at the tv you could see him attempting to stretch for the cleared ball, momentum carried him through onto the player. Also think that the Hearts players reaction probably kept him on the field so a small round of applause for that.

Dont think he'd be playing anyway. Has been hopeless for a while now and with Broony back I'd have dropped Ivan.

Spot on HP.

Bet the caution will be coded at the SFA as a reckless and dangerous yellow.

Re: Is Ivan Sproule ...

think his sending off against the yams at hampden probably would have hit him with alot of points.

As for the incident, I skipped through the second half so I could do the Benji so haven't watched it yet.... but from where I was (FF upper) it was a rash challenge (which he's prone to) but think his momentum took him into the yam fud more than anything. Wasn't a red, but a definite yellow.

And to the fud for not hamming it up big time - same that can't be said for alot of the others!
