See that's why I was so suprised at how cocky they were that they were going to give us a doing. They don't seem to realise that our Tynecastle jinx is fast turning into an Easter Road one for them.

Going with their whole theme of 21 games unbeaten record nonsense, there was apparently a long period in the 60's/70's when hearts didnt score a single goal against us for a good few years, can anyone confirm this?

Think the game you're thinking of might be the 2-1 win in season 1974-75 but I'm not sure if Ally McLeod played or not, he had just joined from Southampton?

The game when Hibs missed two penalties but still won 2-1 at ER was indeed in September 1974.

The result from Saturday was indeed fantastic and it marks the first occasion that we've won both home derbies since the 1994-95 season (incidentally hertz winning both their home derbies this season was the first time that had happened since 1992-93).

As has already been mentioned on this post, Hibs were virtually invincible in this fixture for fifteen years, unfortunately if you're in your mid-30s like me and you only started supporting Hibs in 1983-84 season then, largely, this fixture has been the source of massive disappointment. In fact, since they returned to the top flight in 1983 I make it that they have more wins at ER in this fixture than we do (fourteen to twelve). So it's nice to see that we're close to their tally, and hopefully, during 2007-08 we'll overtake it.
