Re: They're Not Hurting Much
When you compare reports on the hibs offical site and hearts offical site it is really sad how sad the jambos act. When they go down it will make the world a much better place.

Re: They're Not Hurting Much
Quote:
Hibs kept their slim chances of European football alive with a scarcely deserved victory - the complete opposite of the last time these sides met at Easter Road. Hearts were made to pay for not turning their second half dominance into goals and, in keeping with every time Hibs win a derby, there was a pitch invasion at the end. Abdessalam Benjelloun was the hero for his new side, firing home an impressive winner on 78 minutes. A fizzing atmosphere, not quite up there with that glorious Hampden day of almost three weeks ago, greeted both sets of players as they took the field for the final Edinburgh derby of this season. Hibs needed the win in order to keep their European hopes alive - Hearts are already able to get their passports out for next season, but three points would go a long way to ensuring it was the Champions League and not the UEFA Cup. The Hibees have been smarting since April 2nd, and the consequence of such a heavy defeat is always a desire for revenge. This was clearly evident from both the fans and the players. That said, neither team created any significant openings in the first few minutes. There were a couple of meaty challenges, and one of the weaker ones from Lee Wallace earned the first talking to from Mr Richmond. Derek Riordan, playing in possibly his last capital clash (for Hibs at least...), gave his team the lead on 14 minutes, and there was a fair bit of controversy about the build-up to his goal. Hartley lost possession in midfield, sending Sproule away down the right channel. The Ulsterman, keen to make amends for his dismissal in the semi-final, crossed the ball to Fletcher, who may or may not have got a touch before it fell to Riordan, who fired coolly into the corner of the net. There's no denying it was a fine finish from the number ten, but several Hearts players were clearly incensed at what they thought was an offside. Injured captain Steven Pressley, sitting in the stands, felt the same way. At a time when the pressure was clearly on, captain Paul Hartley set the type of example needed to alleviate tension. After a Hearts attack was broken up, Riordan took the ball from his own half and raced unchallenged towards goal. Zico did magnificently to track back to the penalty area, make the tackle and shepherd the danger out for a goal kick. Miko registered our first significant shot of the afternoon just before the half hour mark, when the headed clearance from Neilson's throw-in landed at his feet. A fine left-footed half-volley was expertly parried away by Malkowski. Aguiar had been solid up to the 36th minute, but he went down just a little too easily on the edge of the Hibs box, leading to another breakaway. Hartley fouled Murphy at the other end of the pitch from this attack, which left Riordan poised to execute another trademark setpiece. His delivery was on target, but never seriously troubled Gordon. Zico has scored six goals against his former club this season, but the closest he came to doing so in this half was an ambitious volley some 25 yards out. Unfortunately he wasn't able to wrap his foot around the ball enough to guide it on target. But Hearts drew level right on half-time, in absolutely extraordinary circumstances. A long punt from Robbie Neilson 'deceived' Gary Caldwell and enabled Roman Bednar to run in on goal. The Czech's inadequate first touch looked to have ended the danger, especially as two centre backs were getting there ahead of him. Somehow, somewhere, the Hibs defenders and Zibi Malkowksi contrived to lose the ball and Roman, who had been on the ground in a half-hearted penalty appeal, simply got up and stroked the ball home. It was an incredible mix-up, and not what Zibi needed after his Hampden horror-show. Not that the three thousand travelling supporters cared, especially as the half time whistle sounded immediately after. Was this the break that Hearts could take into the second period? There was certainly a spring in the step of the Jambos, with Bednar forcing a good save from Zibi within seconds of the restart. Roman seized on some hesitant defending to drive into the box and slam a decent angled effort, which may or may not have been on target, allowing the big Pole to tip the ball past the post. The Hibees looked a bit deflated but to their credit they began to pin Hearts back. That said, the best chances were still falling to Hearts, with Aguiar and Cesnauskis registering good efforts that were just a bit wide and just too high respectively. We didn't think it would be too long before we saw Scott Brown emerging from the touchline. Just before the hour mark he was indeed spotted standing in the technical area, readying for action. At the same time Ivan Sproule became the first player to enter Mr Richmond's notepad, for a crude lunge on Berra. The pacy winger was subsequently the one sacrificed for Brown's arrival. Ibrahim Tall has been waiting a very long time to make an impression, and he nearly wrote himself into fans' folkore when he was presented with a free header six yards out. Zibi was stranded, the defence was nowhere?yet the net didn't bulge, as the ball went the wrong side of the post. Bednar made way for Pospisil with 15 minutes to go, at the same time as Paul Dalglish appeared for Konde. Even looking at things objectively, it was all Hearts in this half but that counts for nothing if you don't put the ball in the back of the net. Unfortunately this is exactly what Benjelloun did with twelve minutes to go. Some hesitant defending was seized upon by the Moroccan in the box, and he drilled an unstoppable strike past Gordon. A booking for his celebration ensued, but we doubt he really minded all that much. So it was all for Hearts to do, and only ten minutes in which to do it. Hibs sat back, content in the knowledge that they didn't need to press anything home in order to ensure the victory. Rudi Skacel, by now on the field, nearly caught Malkowksi out with a piledriving free-kick, which was unfortunately just over the bar. The home side played out time from then on. There was a steel about Hibs which we hadn't seen in the last two meetings, since they deservedly won at Easter Road back in October. They didn't really deserve it today, but that's football.

Re: They're Not Hurting Much
To celebrate them being such poor losers with idiotic feckwit fans who wouldn't know good football if it peshed on their heads from 20 feet, and for having a team containing 10 million squids worth of cheating diving moany faced gunts, I'm going back out in about 20 minutes to get even more pished than I am now.

Well done Deeks and Benji and all the other players who stood up and played football today - i.e. the Hibs players. GIRUY

Sorry, I might be slightly pished, but does that 'article' refer to Hartley as Zico...several times?
