I think punctuation and no text speak would be a good thing.

On the subject of Stewart, I hope that we do not offer him a new deal. He is a good player, though he thinks he is better than he is, has a bit of a big time Charlie attitude about him IMO, far too inconsistent, one good game in every six or seven is not good enough, we don't need passengers.

Re: Michael Stewart

I would give him another season.

Whats the score with Jay Sheilds ? Is he out of contract ?

Also good to see Tony Murray back on the bench yesterday

Re: Michael Stewart

I wouldn't sign him either, he'l be on a decent wage and im sure wecould bring in a better player on his wage.

Re: Michael Stewart

I don't rate Stewart as being anywhere near good enough for Hibs. Hope he doesn't get a new deal.

Re: Michael Stewart

Without doubt he's got the ability but far too often he doesnt produce. We cant afford to take a player on who will give you a good game now and then.

Greenmachine will become famous soon enough
Re: Michael Stewart

I think Michael Stewart is a good player, but he is a very frustrating player. He seems to only want to turn it on in certain games, and this is no use whatsoever for a club like Hibs. It remains to be seen whether or not the manager offers him a deal, but if he goes i'm sure there will be other players out there waiting to take his place.

Re: Michael Stewart

I've never managed to make up my mind about Stewart. He's obviously got talent but as has been said previously, he needs to be more consistent. I'd give him another year to make his mark.

Re: Michael Stewart

For me I don't really see what he's done to deserve a new deal. He's showed he's got ability, but too many times when we've needed him he's been found asking. For someone who is meant to be as good a passer as he is, he dosen't find a Hibs shirt enough. Personally think Tony Murray will step right into his shoes and show what he's made of.

My thoughts also. I would imagine that he'll be looking for a longer deal and that it won't be on the table. Hence the reason, IMO why no contract has yet, or will be signed..

NGP is on the way to a first team debut
Re: Michael Stewart

No deal should be made, he hasn't done anything greatly wrong, but he had a season to prove TMs faith in him, I don' think he has shone in this time. I always give new players a chance, Michael has had his shot, has always looked unfit (not just injured, but unfit).

Not a complete waste of space (there have poorer players in recent times in that role (jarko!), but I think there are others players on the same wage level out there that could doa better job.

We also have other players who we are waiting to see if they can offer the Hibs anything (Benji/Daglish), we can't afford to have too many players who MIGHT come good.

Use the money for a ball winning, commanding midfielder.

Re: Michael Stewart

Chuck him. With Boozy, Brown and Sheils back next season we dont need him. Glass would be worth the money as he always puts in a good shift and is now probably the most experienced player with caldwell and smudge leaving

Re: Michael Stewart

I dont think Stewart will give Hibs the option to sign him. He's used his season here to show bigger paying clubs down the Championship in England he could potentially do a job down there.

I'd be much happier giving Glass an extension...him and Murphy down the left is a good combination.

mr hibs fan is on the way to a first team debut
Re: Michael Stewart

Think he's a good player - on his day can be a class above some of the other players in the team. However, think he's on his way out to be honest - he'll no doubt be on bigger wages than most alongside him, but not really pulling enough weight to do anything.

As for bringing back Rocastle (unless you meant actually get Sly Stallone to play for us - probably a better keep than Zibi/Si Brown have been at times this year) - not good enough for Sheff Wed, so don't think he's developed enough to come back to Hibs and be any better than (or even as good as) before.
