Mowbray hopes his side can get stronger next season
Hibernian manager Tony Mowbray believes his young team are maturing and can go from strength to strength.
"I would suggest that even as early as next year this team will come of age," he said after the 1-1 draw at Celtic.

"Three of the back four today were under 21. But there comes a stage when they have got to become men.

"The experiences of this year and last will stand them in good stead. If we can get it right in the summer then we are going to be pretty good next year."

Mowbray is also hoping to add new players to his squad quickly and is waiting for answers before the season is finished.

He added: "We have been looking for a long time.

"The whole staff have been looking abroad and here and we have been having conversations.

"But it is not easy with club's commitments. They are either fighting against relegation or promotion.

"But I would hope we will get some answers in the next few weeks."

Actually I have to take back my previous remarks which may have suggested that I thought TM's reported interview prior to the Smeltic game were the words of a duplicitous dullard who has an eye on the exit door and has shortchanged Hibs fans and indeed players who have signed up gor the 'upward spiral'.

Herr Crowther has pointed out that I and any like me who was disappointed in Mowbray's interview are cretins who can't appreciate the mans honesty, and erm........ well we're just stupid and TM isn't.

I'd like to apologise to anyone who read my earlier remarks and thought that I was thoroughly pissed off at our managers inopportune comments. That was before I realised that Herr Crowther is the font of all knowledge in things Hibs and of course I should have solicited his views first.


Edit: I think I'm starting to remember why I was escorted out the door of Hisnet.
