too many times mowbray !!!!

fuckin far to many times deek has been subbed this season, what the fuck is it all about, you simply cani take a player of derek riordans quality off the park , unless he's had a knock fair enough, his 'determination' wizni as good first part of the season, but fur fuck sake, if anything he should have took fletch off, no sayin he played pish or nothin, but a hink deeks is mare capable of comin up wi 'the goods' to maybe salvage us a wee win, no jist the day, but in any game pissed off by mowbray by the way he keeps on subbin riordan, AND comin out wi ( might be paper talk but.... ) the comments in the news of the world before todays game, bit un-proffesional there mogga

Re: too many times mowbray !!!!

i agree, mogo has puzzled me lately. I mean today sitting 1 up and playing very defensive ! So why on earth would you take of our 2 centre midfielders and most accurate ball striker in the league and replace with 3 attacking playes. Plus Benji hasnt gelled to the teams style !

i think mowbray is startin to take the p1ss. he is obviously in the huff over something and if his interview in the paper is anythin to go by, he wants to leave now instead of putting in a good turn with us. fallen in my opinion lately

Re: too many times mowbray !!!!

I can see the reasons for the grumbles. I mean, a point away to the new champions just isn't acceptable. Sack Mogga now for his performances this season - beating Rangers three times in a row, sticking it right up the Gunts during the 'We are unbeatable' phase, keeping us in with a shout until Xmas etc etc etc. In fact, bring back Duffy or Williamson - they're free and it can't only be me who remembers the halcyon days of relegation, not expecting entertainment at the game, the long ball, Lee Power, Jamie McQuilken and the (almost) straight swap of Riordan for Bobby Mann....................

And while we're on the subject, I can't really remember Riordan getting a sniff at goal while Fletcher scored. Isn't that why DR was taken off rather than SF?

Last week I defended the Riordan substitution, but today it was just plain daft and utterly pointless.

Thank you for some sense.

Mowbray will still be here next season. Deek may have a blue top on or a green and grey hooped one. IMHO we will finish 4th but that wont matter due to hearts being second. 4th is the most we could realistically have hoped for.

Re: too many times mowbray !!!!

What did Riordan do today? He was too physically weak to make an impact and Benji is physically stronger. The problem was that, in the second half we were penned in by Celtic: Riordan wouldn't have made a difference IMO

Why cant some folk no just accept that TM deserves some critiscm sometimes? It was strange taking Deeks off today but as you said, we got a draw against the champs but what about last week when we were one nil down at Aberdeen and he took Riordan off? Hes maybe quiet some games but we all knw how he can turn the game with one piece of brilliance

Exactly what i was going to say. I mean he took of riordan when he has the ability to turn a game at any point. Yes he was quiet but for god sake waken up the boys been our top scorer for a number of seasons and can produce anything at any time in a game, either it be a spectaacualr, tap in or an assist. As much as i like TM he got the aberdeen game wrong. Today Deek wasn't up two much made no difference if it was him or benji. But i would off kept the laddie on for my reason above

To be fair to Mowbray; our players need to learn to use route one (people seem to forget our players are young - they have a lot to learn) to be successful, love good football, but i don't complain about simple goals.

IMO he really doesnt like Derek. He said in the papers that Derek will not stay for sure and he subs him all the time. No wonder the boy wont stay he never gets 90mins anymore and hes got bags of potential. Utter shite from Mogga.

Yes Riordan can score for fun against the lesser teams in the league..

But against Rantic or the Yams he still most of the time isnt in the game.

Perhaps Derek a thought that maybe you are not yet the great player you think you are that is worth the huge salary you are demanding

Is that why O'Connor left then? As far as I'm aware, they were subbed about equally.

Thomson was subbed too, today. Is he off soon or has he just signed a new contract?

Jesus, even Thierry Henry gets subbed and doesn't start every game. I've yet to see anyone justifying his likely move away from the Arse in the same way.

Riordan is leaving for money - pure and simple. It's got feck all to do with being subbed.

As I said before though, I do agree about "Utter shite from Mogga". I mean, it's been years since I would have been absolutely fecking delighted with a point at the home of the Soapies. Nowadays, if we don't win the SPL and qualify for the Champions League, I consider giving up my season ticket.

I wasn't at the Aberdeen game so won't and can't comment on that. However, explain to me how the fuck Mowbray deserves criticism for today's result (against the champions) when half the team are missing?

Trust me, when he's gone and we, more than likely, have some Duffy or Williamson SFA-trained muppet in place, we'll appreciate what Mowbray did for us.

If he's leaving for money why turn down salaries of £18k p/w, £10k p/w etc and state in the papers again today that it's not about money. He'd stay at Hibs for a lot less than that. So pish with your, it's about money, plain & simple. It was about money with a few other players though.

Aye yer right we should all forget about the three humpings from Inverness the three 4 goal shaggings from the yams, CIS cup slaughter by Dunfermline, and all the lost points against the majority of pish teams languishing in the bottom 6. oh aye and dare I say Lee Power was marginally more usefull than Konte and what looks like being another dud in the form on Konde.

I agree with that. If it was about money he would be playing for Cardiff, or Loko Moscow and earning a 5 figure sum every week. But he's not and is still at the club he loves earning what i've been hearing is around £900 a week. About money? Is it fcuk.

IMO Konde looks like he could be useful, but in the center of defence and not in the center of the park where he has been playing recently.

And nowhere did I say it was a bad thing (money, I mean). If I move jobs, it's for money - that's the way of the world.

Only a few people know the real goings-on but I'd be astonished if Riordan hasn't signed a new contract because he gets subbed like hibeesbounceross claims.

This entire thread is based on criticising Mowbray for subbing Riodan today. Maybe it's just me but I'm fecking delighted with a draw considering the injuries we've got. I'll criticise anyone at Hibs when it's deserved but today isn't one of those times.
