Re: mowbray boro bound?

its interesting to see they've dedicated 3 whole pages all hinting that Mowbray will be off/do a great job for 'Boro.

I've no doubts that he will end up there someday, he probably has that ambition, but unless McLaren fucks off to Engerlund(if they want him that is, he is still relatively inexperienced for an International managers job, and they had bad shit before with that (Hoddle)), it's highly unlikely 'Boro are gonny punt him after leading them to FA Cup and Uefa Cup Semi-finals. Who knows they might win one, or both

Weegie press at it again on the eve of us playing one of them.

Why not bring this out last week, or the week before, its not as tho' it contains something that is like, "right now" news

Perhaps to ease the mind a little the word on the street down here is that The Leaping Leprachaun(sp) has accepted the Boro job

Re: mowbray boro bound?

Is McLaren going to take the Job full time?

I thought he would have stuck in a similar deal he has now.

As for Mowbray's comments, IM got slated for lying and saying all his bull so i take my hat off to TM for admitting what we all know and not what we want to hear!!

Yes the Mad Mac has already info'd the players that he is off at the end of the season to take the England job. As I have said in an earlier post O'Neil has been approached and accepted the Boro job

You can't fault his logic - he has a good understanding of why most Scottish football is crap -- its a disgrace that we only have one decent midfielder.

I think it helps to read the full article.

In it Mowbray says he is ambitious & wants to work with the best players in the best leagues.
I would be a bit alarmed if he said Hibs is as far as he wants to go.

Mowbray feels he is banging his head against a wall in an effort to finish fourth in what is a pretty poor league in global football terms.

The flip side is what is going on at Tynecastle.
No thanks.
Oblivion beckons.

If the lack of money means Mogga walks then so be it.

Another take on it http://www.sundaymail.co.uk/sport/fo...name_page.html

Maybe we the fans do expect too much.

dont think its "weegie paranoia", Kev, as you'll see from my second post.

My ire is directed at the fact they give up 3 pages of "Tony's leaving, he'll do well at 'Boro", and instead they might focus on some of the young talent at Hibs, in the run-up to a game against one of the OF. The angle, again, is to put Hibs off any chance they have of taking something out of todays game, and spoil their Title party.

I think most Hibs fans recognise that TM will be off at some point to bigger, better??, pastures. Its only how long we dont know.

The smug get will need the wee tyrefitter's permission to open the purse strings.
We have an ambitious imaginative young manager (though going by some postings in the past couple of days he's little more than a bullshitter) unfortunately we have an overly-cautious board, ok we don't want a Pieman financial situationbut sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate. Mowbray will be hoping the next club he manages has a board that will be a bit more ambitious than that of HFC.

Speculate to accumulate is what got us into this position in the first place and now that we are able to poke the head above
