David Marshall

in todays papers saying he will move anywhere as long as he gets a game

we would then have three excellent young keepers in marshall,McNeil and Ally Brown

. Hopefully they would all get on and we would have no unrest that we seem to have between simon and zibi.

plus when celtic beat barceloana was it not McNamara, varga and Marshall in defense

Although personally i think andy McNeil should be first choice next season

I would agree with that. Although Mcneil is unproven, he is young, and hungry for his chance. he can't be any worse than the pair we have at the moment, so what harm would it do to put him in?

Re: David Marshall

I think McNeill should be given a chance, but Marshall would be a top notch signing. He could possibly be the difference between a average season, and a pretty good one.

Osmosis will become famous soon enough
Re: David Marshall

would be a great signing but!
1. We would only be able to offer him £2k a week!, surely he is on more than that at smeltic.

2. I would imagine there would be a host of clubs after his signature, and willing to pay more than £2k a week!.

Nice thought but i think its a non starter just like Deeks contract

Re: David Marshall

Have to agree, even if they two muppets are still with us next season, we should give McNeill a chance.

Mind you i wouldn't mind seeing David Marshall at Hibs.

Re: David Marshall

I would imagine if hibs were able to get marshall's signature on paper , then it would prob be a season long loan deal , which would suit hibs......... deffo worth pursuing

Re: David Marshall

From what i have seen of andy McNeil in the reserves he can do everything you need of a goalie
-demand his box
-organise the defence
-come sucessfully for cross balls
-save high and low shots
-kick
-not to mention he's a life long hibee

What unrest is that?

They seem the best of pals to me. Both try and make the other look good.

For the avoidance of doubt, anything stated in the above post is written without prejudice; is probably completely uninformed opinion, and possibly just a figment of my imagination. Readers should either ignore, treat with contempt, or simply accept the spirit it is written in, without recourse to huffy replies, legal action or threats of violence.
That includes YOU.

I would agree with that. Doubt we will see him next season at ER, would expect Celtic to hold out for a fee.

Would agree with that, take Gordon out the yams team and they wouldnie be sitting 2nd, he's saved them a few points this season, on the other hand, our keeper has lost us more than a few points this season.
