Stephen Glass

I've been a fan of Glass but with no new contract appearing to have been offered, and yet again a no show against the Yams, i think he'll be gone in the summer.

A player who never achieved his potential.

Re: Stephen Glass

i am a keen admirer of glass. he had an amazing season last season and when he got his chance ths season he grasped it with two hands and took the opertunity rarely puting a foot wrong. i thought he got bullied out of the semi yesterday. he was subject to alot of bad tackles and pushing by the yams. i would like to see him stay after this season. i remain hopefull that tony will offer him a contract. we can alwasy keep the faith.

Re: Stephen Glass

I've always liked him but his performance yesterday was nothing short of a joke. Paris Hilton would have put up a better fight in the midle of the park. It is time for him to get stuck in and fight or i will be happy if he leaves.

Re: Stephen Glass

i still feel even if he wasnt a first team player he would be a great back up player. and as was seen on the bench yesterday we need all the back up possible.

ct01 will become famous soon enough
Re: Stephen Glass

Not a central midfielder and i feel we miss his link up play with murphy down the left flank because mowbray likes playing forwards in the wide roles now. Konde could have played yesterday in the centre as a buffer allowing glass to play left and give a little balance to a midfield lopsided with left footed players.

I agree but he has shown he can play although has
never lived up to the potential he showed when younger
but feel he still has enough to be offered a new contract.

Exactly. Thats why I thought we should have started with Konde in centre midfield with glass playing left on sunday. We need a physical presence in there.

Re: Stephen Glass

Personally i would love Glass to get another contract. Good player and if he would leave and the end of the season then we will just be a weaker team than we are right now.

Re: Stephen Glass

Glass is a good sensible left midfield player - when we are playing well or have a lead to hold he can often do the right thing in terms of playing down time.

He is not a midfield player who will battle and scrap - which yesterdays game required.

Would like to see him stay - but I suspect he will be on big wages and we may get better value with someone else (not necessarily better - but better value)

Then again - I could say that about a few in our squad.

Re: Stephen Glass

i think glass plays the best on the left of midfield as him and murphy always link up well and they both cover each other when the other attacks, something whittaker could do with on the right.

I just think he has far too many games where he literally has NO impact whatsoever.
