Stephen Glass

Can some one enlighten me on the Stephen Glass contract situation?After reading reports and watching the games on the net he seems to be playing realy well.Is he worth a new contract?I think so.

stephen glass is definately worth a new contract, he has been one of our best players under mowbray and i really hope he gets a new contract, id rather have glass than stewart

Doesn't the contract run out at the end of this season? deserves a new one IMO, ahead of a couple of others.

One of our most under-rated players IMO, always steady wherever he is asked to play, definatley should get a new deal.

The left hand side looks well balanced and strong with first touch Murphy and Glass linking well, i think some of our best moves stem from there play working the ball to the strikers.

Agree with you. Thought Glass looked good yesterday. let's hope this gets sorted out.

Agree with that. Glass is an important player IMO.

glass had a great season last season and now thats hes getting a regular game again this season his experience is showing through and he should definetly get a new contract but maybe wages could be what will prevent him get a new deal but hopefully not

at the start of the season glass was offered a year extension (i think) but he wanted a 2 or 3 year deal and hibs were not prepared to give him that large a deal

Wouldnt agree with getting rid of Stewart, but yes Glass is class!

When we get this 1.6 Million for O'Conner i dont think wages will be too much of a problem...

he said he maybe wants a transfer back when he wasnt in the team because he wanted first team football but now hes in the team he might consider resigning

Definitely looked like a more balanced side since Glass has been back in the team. Well worth another deal IMO

i said id rather give glass a deal over stewart, ive been defending stewart all season. it just annoys me that he never applauds the fans

Agree and I think he will be offered a new contract.

Not sure if he will accept though. I think currently he is one of the top earners at Easter Road. I would assume RP gives Tony a choice as to what players he wants to see in this limited bracket.

Therefore I think on the basis that when we have a full squad Glass is not an automatic first team choice he will literally only be offered first team squad wages for next season.

Just the way I see it have absolutely no inside knowledge

Just my opinion but I think he should have been a first pick for most of the season when he was on the bench, he and Murphy linked up well last season. Leaving Glass on the bench and playing 3 central midfielders (Booozy, Stewart and Thomson) with Brown on the right is something I always found a bit strange for Tony to do, we looked so unbalanced and yet the perfect player (Glass) was on the bench. With Caldwell away in the summer and if Garry goes money will be available to keep Glass and still add to the squad as well.
