It must have been on bbc or stv cos Sky didn't exist then. Yep I'm sure the highlights were shown. Waht a second half that was. Can't mind if the 4-4 "Pearce O'Leary" League Cup tie was televised. It was even better.

Re: hibs 4 v celtic 3 8th march 1986

There was no telly deal for the majority of 1986, the video was shot by someone at Hibs. IIRC there was footage of a derby at ER around the same time.

Which reminds me FieryJack....

Re: hibs 4 v celtic 3 8th march 1986

This game WAS actually filmed. It was recorded by Celtic Films who filmed all their games for posterity. A copy was made available at the time. There was no commentary and the view from just above the tunnel in the old West Stand wasn't great. Now if only I could find my copy

I have the game on DVD. PM me. The quality is shite but watchable. It was filmed from above the tunnel entrance with what must have been the worlds worst camcorder but I suppose back then it was good. Now I'm looking for the Souness sending off game on either VHS or DVD

I've got the 4 goals on a video full of old Hibs stuff. It's a video I keep meaning to get copied onto dvd. The quality of the original 4-3 video is poor so this copy isn't great - I've tried recording it on my

from the telly until such time as I get it on dvd. The files are quite big (especially the 3rd goal) so stick the kettle on.

This is Eddie May after scoring the 4th goal - a photo I bought from the press just after the game. I like making Hibs wallpapers and this has been resized ideally for a 1024 x 768 resolution. You can just make out Colin Harris out on the right wing who swung in the cross for Eddie's diving header.

Here's a bit of nostalgia for those the wrong side of 35 who remember when big terracings meant big away supports and therefore the need for the football special. This was 'liberated' from Queen St Station on the day of the 4-3 game.

If you watch the rammy in the souness game if you look carefully you'll see suoerarsehole taking a swing at Mark Fulton, sneaking away and letting Colin West take the blame for it.
