Major engineering works are taking place on the Sunday so only one platform will be available out of Haymarket for trains heading west. As a result the Edinburgh-Glasgow service has been reduced to one an hour. To make it to Hampden for 12.15 there is only 2 trains that you and a few thousand others can catch.
Murrayfield is looking more likely.

I think they will run Hearts trains from Haymarket only and Hibs trains from Waverley - the auld fitba specials are back!!!!

Where did you hear that ? I travel to Queen St twice a week at the moment. And Sunday 2nd April isn't listed as a reduced service day / engineering works haven't been scheduled as far as I know (and I checked last night and this morning). Not doubting it though, they probably scheduled it after the date and time were announced.

So how come the 8:00 to Queen St took 2.5 hours this morning, didn't even get a free cuppa. Felt sorry for the ticket collector, feck all she could do about it but was getting pretty stressed.

I don't suppose the have trains for Celtic fans and trains for Rangers fans when they play semi or finals, so can't see why they would do it for Hibs n' Hearts.

Both the 2001 semi and final were played in sunnyish weather, rememer because I had my 50s Hibs top on and was roasting in it.

When the sfa confirm it is hampden will all those people in the public eye request the travel links are held open for this game? Surely all their moaning would be better put to use canvassing the executive or whoever controls the road network so that work for one day(not even a whole day just half a day) could be postponed to allow for a larger than usual amount of traffic coming from the east and likewise the same powers that be in favour of the switch could lobby the rail network to also postpone any planned work on the line and also to put extra trains on as they will pay for themselves you would think. More than likely though that once the sfa confirm their choice to be hampden the same folk pushing for the tie to be moved will just moan like hell rather than accept it and try get something good to come out of it.
