Anyway was wondering if when we were 2-0 ahead and cruising (apparantly) that maybe we should have put someone like Rudge on knowing Falkirk would have a go. So we bolster defence or midfield and still have players to get forward quick like Whittaker without leaving ourselves exposed at the back. Celtic knock the ball about once they take the lead, we need to stop storming forward for 90 minutes and use our heads. TM is only in 2nd season as a manager and is doing wonderful but I hope he is learning from these games.

Re: Just wondering

I think I can see why that sub was made tbh. I reckon the plan was that as Falkirk start pushing up they would leave space in behind them which Sproule could exploit. As plans go it might have worked if we hadn't lost one straight after half time...

Re: Just wondering

Jimmy i think your right that he will start against the huns also.

I also think that we should play sproule upfront instead of GOC against Rangers. the reason's for this being:

1) Rangers have a big back 4 all of which have no pace, GOc will be contesting physically against these players and it has yet to work for us against them this way - Answer play sproule to run at them and basically he would be able to take the ball wide or just run through them at times.

2) With players like Barry Ferguson in the team he try to slow play down in which you can go a different route, which is straight from defence up to sproule to get onto.

Players like GOC who would hold the ball up etc (and he is good at it) would be playing to thier advantage, whilst sproule is something different and Rangers do not know how to handle this because other than that pounce lovenkrands ( who won't play imho - well not from the start anyway.) then they have nothing to defend it.

Good call.
