Singing Atmospher At Easter Road
ive been a Season Ticket Holder now for 13 years in the North Stand, and it's really annoying that its only the East that sing! why the heck can all 3 of our stands not create a great atmospher and sing!!! grrr, but fairs fair, we do it a wee bit against Rangers, Celtic, Hearts, oh and another thing, it would be the business if we could all sing ''Glory Glory'' in unison, as its being played through the speakers!!! its not hard people!!!!

Re: Singing Atmospher At Easter Road
Well they do say that likeminded people attract! I have always went into the East, firstly because its cheaper and secondly because it is where I went as a bouncy teenager. Now I take my sons there and Im a bouncy slightly older teenager (in spirit anyway). As people in the ground see where the singing and bouncing (sadly less of that nowadays) they tend to move there if they want to join in. There are plenty others around the ground who want to sing, however having attempted to start a sing song only to be greeted by silence they shy away and not sing anymore.
This is not unusual it happens at most grounds. There is not much you can do about it, so you either hang around like minded people or accept that its not going to happen (except as you said, in the bigger matches), but the idea of directors for example singing is pretty unlikely (unless of course its a certain rangers director after a few). So unless people who want to sing get together and buy season tickets for seats next to each other, then it will continue to be the East that sings loudest....however a word of caution. There is plenty singing at the moment but Im sure many people remember many games throughout the 80's where the singing was almost non existent and many games even in the East. Success has helped enormously but then again success doesnt guarantee singing as was witnessed at Ibrox this season where the home crowd was the quietest Ive ever heard them, with the exception af a couple of hundred of their standing supporters in the broomloan. They also sing better away from home when more like minded supporters are forced together. But look at any ground in the cottish leagues, everyone is characterised by a small section (section B end at Airdrie is one example) though not sure what its like in their new stadium. |
