Shame to see they lost the tie against a strong Fiorentina side, unbeaten third in the Serie A at present.

The Gruns put up a great fight, going ahead with a wondergoal by Nevland and earning a 1-1 draw after ninety minutes, same score as in Groningen previously.

Hard luck to get matched up with such a good side so soon in the competition.

Anyhoo, good luck to the Gruns next time round, we might be there again with you this time :YAYYY:

Saw that result yesterday.Was so disappointed as I thought that we could go further. Was hoping that we could get Aberdeen and go on a BounceTour

The trip was brilliant...too bad about the result. But we can keep our heads up high. I never knew we were that good. There were 2000 FCG supporters in Florence. To Dutch standards thats huge. Hoerenveen and Twente never travelled with more than 800. There were at least a thousand of us at the Dome square singing FCG songs. Massive. Funny, the looks on the faces of all those tourists..thinking WTF is going on here. There are a few locals in 'our' pub in Florence who can sing the Abe Lenstra (Wallace Mercer) is dead song. It is now in the official pub song-book.. No you don't have to thank me

Spent six months in Firenze at one point, brings back the memories of the Duomo, ridiculously huge cathedral to which all roads lead in the town.

Is it easy to get tickets for away games?? Im planning a trip to Germany in Feb to see Borussia Dortmund, the game will be on the Fri or Sun so im planning on a Dutch game on the Saturday.Groningen are playing in Arnhem and ill be just over an hour away.
