Bought myself a crackin' looking green and white St. Ettienne top from the Sunday market at Ingleston (couldn't be bothered getting the bus in to Jenners this time!).

I know he-haw about French footie - do they normally play in these colours?

Most of all, then, and after all the French nation has done for Hibs - do the St. Ettienne lads and lasses qualify for the brotherhood and a few bevvies in Sunny Leith??

I was already wondering why AS St. Etienne wasn't part of this Green Brotherhood, they're one of the more famous "green" sides in Europe (yes, they really are green-white)

They are still record title holder in France (10 times Champion of France & 4 times Double winner - I looked this up, of course

), but their most successful time was late 60s, early 70s. Right now, they are playing in "Ligue 2", the second highest French league.

The away top is very like the white seen on our unwashed chums from the west (or east from here) but I reckon it looks much smarter.

Reckon I'll get myself one for an impressive 15 Euros, although I'll have to use my own worse than schoolboy French so I could end up with a corporate box and two defenders!

Been on the St Etienne website again, it's an absolute cracker and looks exactly like the official Hibs site should.

If a visitor clicks on mediatheque ('go' button in this box) and then diaporamas, they have an animated guide to ASSE tops since the 60s. You might recognise a few of them!

Bought myself a smart looking green home shirt and a baseball hat for a very respectable £20!
