One of our own supports the dark side too Scott, we've tried convincing him he better of with the Saints but he ain't bugging. Could be worse, you could've picked Shels Don't know when fixtures are out, but knowing the Eircom League probably about 2 weeks before season starts. They did that a couple of years ago ![]()

) but real thing starts tomorrow. Things can't be any worse than last season though, and I think we'll finish mid table at the worst. Colm Foley and Chris Armstrong are still out injured, but we've good enough replacements for them in Stephen Caffery and Glen Atle LarssonLatest team news can be found at www.stpatsfc.com PS: Glasgow Ian, whens your next visit to see Saints ![]()

Is that all we are 5/2 thought we would be more than that we have about 12 new players from last season all our better players left. The team had nowhere to train the other day and the session had to be cancelled and there is a new running track being put in so the first time they will set foot on to the rsc is next thursday versus bray.Although we are building a new stand opposite the main stand it will fit 1200 so hopefully things will go ok this season although it will be a battle but i think we have a very good manager in mike kerley.

Venue: Belfied Park UCD 0 - St Patrick's Athletic 1 A SUPERB 62nd minute strike by winger Sean O'Connor was enough to guarantee St Patrick's Athletic their first win of the Premier Division campaign with a deserved victory over UCD at Belfield Park. This victory was no more than St Pat's deserved as they had dominated the early stages when the always lively O'Connor blazed over the bar from close range after a perfect cross from the right by Trevor Molloy. College rarely threatened although one clever move down the right by Ciaran Quinn enabled Conan Byrne to get in a cross shot well saved by 'keeper Barry Ryan. Irish U21 international 'keeper Darren Quigley came to UCD's rescue on 36 minutes when he blocked a close range effort from Mark Rutherford after a Molloy corner on the left and Michael Foley shot over the top from the rebound. The Inchicore men at last took the lead on 62 minutes when O'Connor took advantage of a loose ball on the left to hammer home a shot from 25-yards past Quigley into the top right hand corner of the net. © Irish Independent UCD D Quigley; Mahon, McNally, Kenna, Ryan; Cawley, Hurley (Matthews 72), Dicker, McWa lter; C Byrne, Quinn (Sammon 77) St Patrick's Athletic Ryan; S Quigley, Maguire, Caffrey (Perth 38), Frost; Rutherford, Brennan, Foley, O'Connor; Molloy (M Quigley 75), Keegan Officials Referee: A Buttimer

Venue: Richmond Park St Patrick's Athletic 2 - Shelbourne 2 St. Patrick's Athletic continued their great start to the new season by taking a point off eircom League favourites Shelbourne at Richmond Park. But they left a two goals lead slip. Colin Hawkins was the Shels hero as his last gasp goal completed a dramatic comeback against unbeaten St Pats in the eircom League, Premier Division, at Richmond Park. John McDonnell's men continued their unbeaten start to the season and enjoyed a two goals lead but Shels showed great spirit to fight back and grab a point. They still lost ground on Cork and Derry City who both won. The Saints raced into a two goals lead through two former Reds, Mark Rutherford and Trevor Molloy, who scored inside the opening 17 minutes. Shelbourne responded with Jason Byrne's effort in the 56th minute, but the game was to take a further twist a minute later when both teams had players sent off. Owen Heary and Paul Keegan received their marching orders after a poor tackle by Heary on John Frost caused a 20 man melee. But there was further drama to follow as Hawkins made it three draws from three for Shels, heading home from Ollie Cahill's cross. © www.fai.ie St Patrick's Athletic Ryan; Quigley, Frost, Brennan, Maguire; Mulcahy, O’Connor (Larsen 70 mins), Foley (Perth 76 mins), Rutherford; Keegan, Molloy (Quigley 86 mins) Shelbourne Williams, Heary, Hawkins, Crawley, Rodgers (Dillon 73mins); Ryan (Baker 56 mins), Ndo, Crawford, Cahill; Byrne (Harris 88), Crowe Officials Referee: Alan Kelly Assistants: E Foley, M Douglas Fourth Official: Ian Stokes Assessor: W Attley

A game we really should've won. 2-0 up at half time and coasting. 2nd half of madness with a player from each team getting sent off. Paul Keegans sending off without doubt cost us the game.
So far things going good for the Saints, although still already can't help think about not winning this game, and not beating Waterford in 1st game (missed penalty and 2 disallowed goals) But we're fully deserving of our league postion, something all Saints fans were confident of. Alan Kelly also proved again he's worse ref in league Next up: Away to Sligo Rovers on Saturday April 1st @ 7.30pm COME ON THE SAINTS

Venue: The Showgrounds Sligo Rovers 1 - St Patrick's Athletic 1 VINNY PERTH preserved St Parick's Athletic's unbeaten run with a last-gasp strike at the Showgrounds last night. All of the action was packed into three minutes of stoppage time at the end of the game. Rovers had taken the lead in the 91st minute when Keith Foy scored from the penalty spot after Adam Hughes was judged to have been brought down, the referee didnt see anything with the tackle seen as he was only standing a few feet away from the incident but his assistant on the touch line flagged for the foul & the referee changed his mind & awarded the penalty. However justice was done 3 minutes later when after a scramble in the sligo box Vinny Perth smashed home the equalizer from close range. Earlier, St Patrick's enjoyed a purple patch between the 70th and 8th minutes with Perth going close on two occasions. Chances, however, were few and far between in a dull first half. Rovers' Darren Mansaram caused some anxious moments for the visitors going close on 14 minutes while St Pat's Mark Rutherford was impressive throughout pumping good balls into the Reds' goal but no clear-cut chance came and all the real drama was left until injury time. © Irish Independent Sligo Rovers O'Hara, Peers, Foy, McNamara, Burns, O'Grady, Hughes, Kudoshovic, Flannery (McKenzie 90), Curran, Mansaram (Judge 69). St Patrick's Athletic Ryan, Murphy, Frost, Brennan, McGuire, Mulcahy, O'Connor (Flood 82), Foley (Perth 63), Quigley, Molloy (Reilly 45), Rutherford.
