  4. Boozer this season?

So......given last night's carry-on in The Players Lounge it seems like as good a time as any to discuss the forthcoming season. Personally am quite happy to watch matches in there (providing stokesy is still with us) although one would want to be seated well clear of the front door. I cant think of any pubs in the city centre, apart perhaps from Murrays, that will show the cabbage even if the match clashes with a premiership fixture. What do yous think?

Went there to watch the game last Sunday only to find the pub closed, ended up next door in local social club, seemed friendly enough crowd. Only thing missing was their Man U and Liverpool shirts. What happened to the pub, did,nt the NI Hibs used to use it to watch live games. :dunno:

  21. Hibernian 2 celtic 1.

Big thanks to all the lads who turned up at murrays to watch the match. I know not ideal spot but we saw the game, against all odds, some bitter celtic fans and too many villa fans for my liking but the mighty Hibernian FC won. Big hello to Anthony Stoke's sister watching the match with us. :applause: Hope the 24 of the Stokes family that flew over had a great day and night as well. :applause: Hopefully Stokesy and the Republic of Ireland Hibs sc will meet up soon. Going to have a stinker of a hangover in 6 hours time but so very very worth it, glory, glory :ura:

  25. Any Hibees in Mayo???

Just wondering if there are any Hibees over there. I was over at Xmas with the girlfriend and her family. Went into Kilmaine, had to go to 4 different pubs to finally get the Rangers game. Missed Stokes goal and sat on my tod in a pub while the bar tender cleared up from night before. Off the point but the bar tender turned out to be a guy we had spoken to in Edinburgh a few months before. I didnt realise until another night. Football didnt seem high on anyones agenda. A few folk liked Man Utd/Chelsea mind.

  29. the lost connection

hi lads, will be doing an article shortly for you boys in green magazine for the france match. looking at doing a piece about hibs and their irish links, and why celtic have a greater following here. would love a bit of comment on here about it,so il post up a few sample questions and i appreciate any answers. 1)Why do you feel celtic boast a stronger support than hibs in ireland? 2)do you feel that celtic fans, based in ireland, know hibs were first to wear the hoops?

Hi, lads, sorry I haven't been posting on the forum for ages. 50. What a good weekend

It was great to catch up with a load of old mates and meet some fantastic new one's. Davitt's was great, the regulars couldn't get a seat for the number of Hibby's. Lancashire Hibs turned the patio area into a scene from Hibs in Europe. It got even better in the Forresters, not only did we get a great welcome, the locals want us back every week! A very happy time was had in Belfast, hope we can find an excuse to have you back again, and that all you lads and lassies are up for doing it again. While we are at it a big thank you to the Dubs, the sing song in Grumpy's was much better than the game.
