Phishing

Anyone else got genuine-looking e-mails saying that they are from banks, and that you must login to your online banking or else your account would be frozen or whatever? I got one a few weeks ago, and i cant remember if i logged in to it or not, but it was a phishing scam, where the sender is trying to get hold of your login details so that he can steal money from you.

Just a warning, that these e-mails look very real, they have a link to a page that looks almost identical to the login page of your online banking, but remember banks never send out e-mails that look for private details.

No, the senders have ways of hiding the actual address and replacing it one that looks genuine, such as RBS | The Royal Bank of Scotland | Personal, Private, Business & Corporate Banking, etc. Thats where a lot of people get stung.

So are you saying RBS | The Royal Bank of Scotland | Personal, Private, Business & Corporate Banking is a fraudsters site Halifax Online Banking - UK Banks, Finance, Personal, Telephone & Internet Banking?
Any i've ever had are obviously bogus address wise , i mean the url of the page when you click the link ie Halifax Online Banking - UK Banks, Finance, Personal, Telephone & Internet Banking

Get loads of these. Usually send them on to the bank. Some are more interested than others.
