You really need to read more books.

A decent enough book as far as the recent crop of Hooli books go. I read it from cover to cover in 4 hours one afternoon. A far better book is Casuals by Phil Thornton,Hibs feature a lot in it.

I've not read it, where does it fall short?

IIRC it's one guy re-counting CCS stories?

In what way Kenny, its the best book the guy has read?

For me it was a decent Hoolie book that meant more because it was about Hibs, it was from an era I was part of, written by someone I have a passing aquaintance with and I recognised a lot of the incidents and individuals involved.

As a work of written prose, it wasn't 'To Kill a Mockingbird' or 'Catch 22', if ye get my gist?

fair play, but horses for courses - if the boy likes hooli books and this isn't a bad one

loads of people read stephen king and barbara cartland too and would call them the best books they've ever read...

Excuse me, M?

Any book that i get a mention in should, IMo, be up for the Nobel prize for literature

Actually, i thought it was okay, nothing out of the ordinary for a hoolie book. though it seemed to mention every time Hibs got done rather than wallow in the glory of victories which a lot of other books like that do.

i have read plenty books and so on...so thats up to me to decide what my favorite one is. some people could be rite i might just like it more because its about the Hibs. I know Aberdeens top boy aswell they all have something to say about the two firms asc and ccs. the thing for me is i always grew up knowing about the mayhem in the past but never got to read someones views. Bloody casuals by Jay Allan and These Colours dont run are top books. thers another sheep book by some twat called Dan Rivers....and from the ASC dudes i know no one even knows who Dan Rivers is.

Is it? Or is it more of an ego trip for someone who identified with Hibs?

I think when I was 21 the only thing I had read was Striker in the Sun.

Surprised to hear that.
There's actually three Rivers brothers in the area, although Dee and Don are better known than Dan.
